The Alpha’s Obsession with his Ex-Contract Luna

Chapter 117

Chapter 117

“Mom, what are you doing?” Bree asked the sweaty Athena, who was in her workout clothes and jogging on the spot.

From her appearance, she must have been at it for quite a while, and Tedmond was just watching without trying to stop her.

Bree was puzzled. Her mother’s health had not been good, and the only recommended exercise for her was walking.

“You should ask again,” Tedmond said, looking helpless. “I’ve asked the same question five times now and still haven’t gotten a response. Maybe you’ll be lucky and get the answer I’ve been looking for.”

Bree was disappointed that her dad wasn’t making more of an effort to stop her mother. “I thought Mom was sick.”

“I got better,” Athena quickly responded, showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. She was enjoying it because she was no longer sick.

Throughout her life, she had been sick because of her powers. After giving them all away, it was time for her to reclaim her life.

“If you’re better, then you should join the training. No one is stopping you,” Bree said, convinced that her mother must be hiding because she was afraid of what Alpha Nick might do if he found out.

“I want to see the level of my strength before I join the training,” Athena said, panting, slowly halting her movements.

She was getting tired, but the fact that she had been at it for over thirty minutes assured her that she was ready to start. training again.

She would never be the Luna of the pack, as that title was already taken, but she wouldn’t let anything stop her from catching up on other things.

“I came to tell you that we are leaving. Do you want to say goodbye to Ansaldo?” Bree’s attention returned to her reason for barging into her parents‘ room.

Tedmond immediately pulled her into his warm embrace and as soon as he let go, Athena did the same. It was heart- wrenching to be separated from their daughter, but nobody could fight the mate bond.

Bree had to be where her mate was, and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

However, Athena had assumed she would stay longer, so this news dampened her excitement.

“Why are you leaving so soon?” She finally asked, and Bree explained hastily.

“Well, Ansaldo said there are some guests waiting for him, so we have to go!

Athena’s mood dampened. “I will change and come to send you off.”

Bree smirked. This was the first time she had seen her mother in workout clothes and thought she looked stunning. “You look nice in your workout clothes,”

Athena did not reject the compliment. In fact, she even felt younger than she was before.

“I know, but I don’t want anyone to know about it yet,” she said seriously. Alpha Nick would not immediately believe that she was fine and would insist on her being careful with her health.

“But Mom, you have been sick all your life. How are you suddenly fit again?” Bree asked seriously. Athena did not know how to explain it to her.

If only she had come first, then she would have been the most powerful Luna to have ever lived, but sadly, she came second and last.

“You are the only one who did not know about the family treasure, but it’s fine. You are going to be Luna, and I will have something special for you before your coronation. You can leave with my blessing, but I will be there,” Athena said seriously.

There was no way she would let Bree move to another pack without any form of protection. She had to prepare a special gift for her only biological daughter.

“Thank you, Mom. I love you.” Bree hugged and kissed Athena on the check. “And Dad.” She kissed her father too, and they both replied. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“We love you too.”

In the training room, before Alpha Nick dismissed the warriors, he decided to pique their interest by announcing.

“There is another surprise coming, but you will see it very soon.”

The expressions on the faces of the people present were priceless as they began to murmur,

“Alpha, please tell us now.”

Sheridan partly guessed it was about Daisy and couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Alpha Nick taking full responsibility as a father.

“Hey, I deserve to know, right? Your sister is my mate,” Alpha Ansaldo felt neglected for being left out of the suspense.

Alpha Nick tapped him comfortingly on the back before informing him, “Even Bree doesn’t know, so I will only let you know when the time is right. But remember to set the date for the coronation in advance and let us know beforehand.”

Alpha Ansaldo was slightly disappointed but decided to wait. “Okay. I will be expecting you.”

After seeing Bree and Alpha Ansaldo off, Alpha Nick had a meeting with Sheridan, Dustin, and Goldie in his office.

“Sheridan already knows some aspects of our pack business and finances, so Goldie, you will have to learn from Dustin. Since the four of us are the pillars of the pack, it would be nice if you could share ideas on how to improve it.

Alpha Nick wanted to improve the lives of his pack members and was considering establishing more businesses.

That was his main reason for attending the gala awards, but things turned out differently. Well, he might not have gotten the businesses he had hoped for, but he had planted a seed that resulted in a treasure of joy.

Sheridan was very interested in this discussion as she had been looking forward to getting busy again.

“Regarding the business aspect, I think I can employ some pack members at Shelly’s Couture and Glamour. We can change the name to Moon Couture and Glamour,” she suggested, but Alpha Nick shook his head.

How could he be so selfish as to allow her to do that? “That is your hard work. I won’t allow it.”

Sheridan forced a smile. What was she going to do with all those businesses anyway? They would continue to expand and would be too much for Daisy to manage alone in the future.

“The pack is also your hard work. I only helped for six months. If we are mates, then everything we have belongs to each other, right?” She stared Alpha Nick in the eyes and spoke seriously.

The direction of the conversation didn’t give Alpha Nick the opportunity to refuse. “You really won’t take no for an

answer, will you?”

“Never. I want everyone to be better than they were before I came. I will still focus on the weak warriors after my coronation. Goldie can assist me with that. She is a very strong she–wolf,” Sheridan asserted.

The weak warriors were dear to her heart, making them her priority, but Alpha Nick had something else of greater importance to say…
