The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 164

Several bodyguards remained vigilant beside Liam. Jenny hadn't expected that they would actually compete with each other.

At this point, Liam could only accept the challenge. She hoped that Liam would leave with Medieval Medicine after competing with her. That way, Jenny and Cosmo could lead a peaceful life. Shortly after the advertisement was posted, a patient walked in.

The patient's expression was somewhat strange. The corners of their mouth drooped with saliva, and their eyes were slightly askew. Their entire face seemed distorted as if they had been pulled at the corners of their mouth like rubber, warping their features.

Upon seeing the patient, Matthew immediately recognized that they were suffering from a stroke, or facial neuritis, in medical terms. Instantly, he began to brainstorm at least ten different treatment methods.

The patient glanced around the clinic, sensing something unusual, and asked, "May I know who's the doctor?"

Jenny, who was sitting behind the desk responded confidently. "I am."

The patient approached the desk and glanced at Jenny. She realized she was seated in the patient's chair and moved to sit beside Cosmo.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Jenny glanced at the patient's face and then remarked, "You have facial neuritis. Have you been doing strenuous exercise recently? Have you been sweating and sitting near an alley or by the river, or perhaps in a windy area?"

The patient nodded. "Your diagnosis is spot on. I did play badminton and sat in the corridor of the basement where there was a cool breeze. Could you please treat me?"

Jenny agreed and turned to Liam. "Why don't each of us write a treatment plan?"

Liam shook his head slightly. "Since you don't even recognize your own abilities, let me show you my skills so you'll know that yours are garbage."

With that, he grabbed a pen from the desk, tore off a sheet of prescription paper, and moved to the side to start writing. Jenny gritted her teeth and took out her pen to begin writing her own treatment plan.

Both of them focused on writing their prescriptions, the sound of their pens scratching against the paper filled the room. It seemed like they were competing to see who could write faster.

One minute passed, then two, then three, but they were still writing.

Matthew shook his head in disbelief. Treating facial neuritis was simple, requiring only a concise treatment plan, possibly just a few sentences. However, they were taking forever to write down a simple treatment plan. Matthew figured they must have tried a bunch of slow methods. Deciding to check their plans, he watched as Liam finished up, folding his prescription cautiously, as if he was afraid that someone might see it. Liam said proudly, "I'm done. Don't tell me you're out of ideas!"

Jenny also put down her pen. "I'm done too. Let's compare."

Liam sighed, "Well, my prescription is priceless. It's a secret recipe. But to make sure you accept defeat graciously, I'll give you a peek." With that, he unfolded the prescription, revealing its contents. It listed a few lines.

"Facial Elixir. Gomposed of

vitalityroot, silkworm, and scorpion. It has the effect of dispelling wind, transforming phlegm, and relieving convulsions. The blood of the

scorpion excels in getting ridge!?

wind. It enters the liver and

circulates the wind in it.

"The vitalityroot disperses wind in the head and face, and the silkworm clears emptiness and removes wind in the collaterals. Hence this formula can be used to treat facial neuritis. Recovery can be expected in about two weeks." Liam's prescription was detailed. He didn't just list out the ingredients, but he also explained the effects of each of them.

Jenny then presented her own prescription, slowly unfolding it.

"Muscle Soothing Soup. Composed of azurevein, sweetroot essence, meadowbloom, radiantbloom, moonthread, windsong thread, jadeblossom, fortressroot, sylph, calcium powder, elysianroot, and other herbs.

"It has the effects of dispelling wind,

clearing heat nourishing blood, encouraging blood circulation, treating uncontrollable facial muscles and facial muscle spasms. When combined with acupuncture, it can accelerate the healing process. Recovery is expected in about ten days."

Liam's expression turned disdainful after reading her prescription. "Impossible. Your prescription surely won't work. How could it be faster than my treatment?"

Jenny retorted, "Mine can be verified. If he follows my prescription, he'll be healed in ten days. You'll have to admit defeat!"

Liam shrugged. "Ten days? Do you know how precious my time is? I'll give you, at most, one hour."

One hour? Jenny was dumbfounded. Even if she were a miracle medic, there was no way to cure facial neuritis in just one hour.

"Well, let's just forget it," she conceded.

Liam shook his head. "With your

status, you're not even qualified to compare with me. Traditional medicine is in decline. Not to mention, even if all the doctors in your country were one entity, they

still wouldn't have the skill to match me."

As he finished speaking, Cosmo, who was standing beside them, stood up.

With a youthful smile on his tender face and a hint of childishness in his voice, he declared, "30 minutes. I only need 30 minutes to cure the patient's facial neuritis."
