Chapter 502
Chapter 502
The two couples walked hand in hand to the center of the stage ainidst the music. They exchanged rings symbolizing a lifetime commitment, under the gaze of everyone present.
Their hearts were filled with happiness as they looked at each other, knowing that they would face all of life’s challenges together, be it in poverty or wealth, sickness or health.
Both the couples, Liam and Cynthia, Anthony and Isabella, had faced numerous obstacles before finally coming together, cherishing the present moment deeply.
In particular, Liam couldn’t hold back his tears as he gazed at Cynthia in her white gown, his emotions almost overwhelming him. To compose himself, he simply lowered his head and kissed her deeply. Happiness and blessings filled the room as the guests watched on.
As the music faded away and the wedding drew to a close, the host announced, “It’s time for the bouquet toss. All unmarried guests, please come to the front of the stage.” Guests started gathering in front of the stage as the announcement ended.
Cynthia and Isabella, the two brides, stood back–to–back holding bouquets. They exchanged glances and simultaneously threw the bouquets behind them.
Among the chaotic crowd, two lucky individuals emerged: Hallet and Vincent.
Both tall men, standing nearly six feet, used their heights to their advantage during the bouquet toss, even causing some smaller ladies to stumble nearby.
Hallet excitedly ran towards Queena, offering her the bouquet on one knee. The onlookers cast envy–filled glances as Queena sweetly accepted the flowers and helped him stand up.
Vincent didn’t want to be left behind. He swiftly knelt in front of Mila, presenting her with the bouquet. Then, to everyone’s surprise, he took out a red box from his pocket and slowly opened it.
Inside was a dazzling pink diamond ring. The meaning behind presenting a ring at that moment was crystal clear to everyone. Envious looks from the women in attendance confirmed the significance of the gesture.
“Mila, promise me you’ll let me take care of you in the future, will you marry me?” Vincent looked into the eyes of his beloved woman with a seriousness never seen before.
As his words fell, the surrounding guests started cheering, “Marry him, marry him.” Mila covered her mouth in shock, unsure of how to react.
The ring looked valuable at first glance, with the diamond and craftsmanship reflecting intricate planning. Yet, they had only recently reconciled, leaving her puzzled about when he made the ring.
Lost in her thoughts, Mila was gently called out again by Vincent, “Mila, will you marry me?”
That brought Mila back to reality, her eyes misty. She slowly extended her hand, choking out, “I do.” Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Upon hearing the woman’s affirmative response, Vincent’s initially tensed heart plummeted rapidly. A wide smile formed on his face, exuding eagerness like an energetic young man. Afraid of any doubts from Mila, he quickly slid the ring onto her. ring finger and enveloped her in a tight embrace.
“Remember, no turning back once you say yes.” “No turning back,” Mila mumbled. She was leaning against his chest, her heart beating quickly.
First, she vigorously shook her head, then placed her hand in front, unable to resist her curiosity, asking, “When did you prepare this ring?”

Vincent’s eyes twinkled at hey question. After a brief silence, just as Mila thought he wouldn’t answer, she heard his deep voice near her car, “I had this ring ready a few years ago. It’s just that back then.”
Pausing for a moment, he casually redirected, “But everything is in the past. Having you by my side now is all that matters.”
Mila had already guessed what Vincent didn’t say out loud, and she felt a deep sense of guilt once again. He had wanted to marry her years ago, and now she realized her own failings.
Mila glanced around at the conclusion of the wedding, swiftly grabbing Vincent’s hand and leading him towards the exit. She was determined to lay bare everything that had happened years ago to him.
Guiding Vincent to the cemetery, Mila positioned them in a secluded corner. Pointing at the woman’s name on the tombstone, she uttered, “This is my mother.”
Observing the date of death on the gravestone, although filled with questions, Vincent bowed respectfully first.
Before he could inquire, Mila continued, “I admit that I approached you for a purpose back then. Luke used my mother to manipulate me, and I had to comply.
“I thought by completing the task, I could save my mother. Little did I expect to develop feelings for you during our time together. Perhaps it was karma. Later, not only did I fail to save my mother, but I also lost you.” Mila’s voice trembled, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Vincent tenderly reached out to wipe away her tears, but they kept falling like pearls off a broken string. Her teary gaze fixed on him, signifying her resolve.
Vincent, I didn’t betray you. I intended to return those things to you, but Luke found out and took them from me. I couldn’t stop him.” Mila grew increasingly despondent as she spoke, her voice choked with emotion.
Heartbroken, Vincent embraced her, gently patting her back in a comforting manner. “I know you didn’t betray me. I believe you. I’m sorry, Mila, for all the suffering you’ve endured.”
Mila continued to shake her head apologetically amidst tears. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I made you suffer for so long. I wasn’t with Luke at the time. He didn’t do anything to me. Those news reports were deliberately fabricated by him to provoke you.”
In truth, Vincent had convinced himself to accept Mila’s past with Luke in order to be with her. Yet, hearing the truth of the matter now, he was stunned into silence.
Every man cared about such things, yet hearing that Mila had been devoted to him throughout, joy uncontrollably spread across Vincent’s face.
Scooping Mila up suddenly, he twirled her around in excitement. “Mila, I love you,” he said excitedly.
“I love you too,” Mila responded. She was caught up in the man’s exhilaration, holding onto him tightly as he embraced her. In front of the tombstone, the misunderstandings between them were
finally resolved, their hearts beating as one.
