A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 140 Bridal Shop

Sierra asked in confusion, "Uncle Theo, why are you here?"

"Get in the car," Theo responded in a deep voice. Then, Adrian got out of the car and opened the car door for her.

Remembering the awkward situation they had in the car last time, Sierra felt slightly hesitant.

Theo raised his eyebrows, looking amused. He seemed to have guessed what went on in her head as he asked, "Are you afraid of me?"

Sierra blushed, but she forced herself to remain calm. "Uncle Theo, you're a respectable elder of mine. Why would I be afraid?"

She had added emphasis on the word "respectable" before stepping into the car and settling in the farthest corner.

At her action, the corner of Theo's lips curled up into a subtle smile.

Sierra's body tensed slightly, sensing the awkward atmosphere. To ease the tension, she repeated her words from earlier. "Uncle Theo, what a coincidence for me to run into you here."

"It's not a coincidence. I went to your school and heard that you were looking for Benson. So, I came over to check on you."

Hearing his cold voice, Tessa froze momentarily before turning to look at him. Then, she asked softly, "Uncle Theo, did you come over just because you were worried about me?"

"Yes. I was worried that you might get bullied." His deep voice was elegant and captivating, causing Sierra's heart to skip a beat.

Theo then asked, "Did Benson bully you?"

She shook her head. "He didn't."

The second she finished speaking, her gaze fixed on the scene outside the car, where Benson was carrying Sophie as they rushed out of the company in a panic.

Theo followed her gaze and turned his head around. Then, he smiled faintly, his sharp gaze seemingly able to see through everything. "It seems like my worries were for nothing. You weren't being bullied."

Sierra's face turned red upon hearing his words. She quickly explained, "I didn't bully Sophie. Her fainting has nothing to do with me."

"What happened to her is none of my concern. Everything is fine as long as you weren't being bullied."

Theo collected his gaze from the window and turned back to look at her. His voice was smooth, and he seemed somewhat amused.

Sierra froze. Why did his words sound a little strange?

She let out an awkward laugh, saying, "Thank you for your concern, Uncle Theo. I'm doing fine."

He then said, "It's already noon. Have lunch with me."

She hesitated momentarily but quickly realized that she did not have a proper reason to refuse him, especially after considering the fact she was already in his car. "Oh, alright."

For some inexplicable reason, she now felt strangely uncomfortable whenever she was left alone with Theo.

Benson carried Sophie in his arms and got into his car.

Just as he was leaving, he noticed there was a black car in front of him that looked a lot like Theo's car, but before he could get a clear view of the car, the car turned a corner and disappeared. en

He must have mistaken someone's car for Theo's. Why would Theo possibly be there at such a time?

"Go to the hospital," Benson ordered in a dark voice. His eyes were filled with hostility as he looked at the "unconscious" Sophie with a frown.

Inside the restaurant, Sophie sat by the window, looking outside. She accidentally caught sight of a bridal shop across the street and was momentarily lost in thought.

That bridal shop was the best bridal shop in Vellmont City.

In the first year of her relationship with Benson, which was also the year he established his company, she had accompanied a business partner's fiancée here to pick out a wedding dress. Benson had come to pick her up that day.

"Benson, Ms. Davis looks so beautiful in her wedding dress," she had said back then.

"Cee, you will look even more beautiful in a wedding dress one day. You will be the most stunning bride in the world, and you'll be mine and mine alone."noveldrama
