Alpha King Chases Abandoned Luna

Chapter 381

James overheard and insisted on the products being delivered. "Evelyn doesn't

consume just any herbs."

"She prefers Lucas's gifts over Ethan's, which should be sent to the elder care

facility."

Thomas was instructed to send the items immediately. His loyalty to Lucas meant

swift execution of orders.

Downstairs, Ethan watched as the items he had bought were sent away. His wolf

retreated deeper within him as rejection cut through his chest.

James told him, "Ethan Stone, late affection is cheaper than grass. Neither Lily's

death nor the harm you caused Olivia can be reversed."

"Olivia will not forgive you, and Luna Evelyn will not forgive you. Everything you

do is in vain."

Ethan didn't reply, but didn't stop them from sending the things away. His amber

eyes tracked every movement as his carefully chosen gifts disappeared.

Soon, Thomas arrived with the same moonlight herbs. The irony wasn't lost on

anyone present.

Ethan's heart sank, his wolf retreating deeper within him. The message was clear

- Lucas's gifts were welcome, his were not.noveldrama

The expensive herbs he'd personally selected were being replaced by identical

ones from his rival. His jaw clenched as he watched Thomas efficiently unload the

packages.

Maxwell Chen approached cautiously, sensing his Alpha's distress. "Alpha Stone,

should we"

"No." Ethan's voice was hollow. "Let them have what they want."

He turned away from the building, his shoulders rigid with suppressed emotion.

Every step away from Maple Grove felt like another nail in the coffin of his

relationship with Olivia.

His wolf howled silently within him, mourning the loss of what could have been.

The scent of his mate still lingered in his car, a bittersweet reminder of their brief

time together.

James watched from the window above, satisfaction evident in his expression.

He'd made his point clear - Ethan's money couldn't buy forgiveness.

"The Alpha's learning," he murmured to himself. "But it's too little, too late."

Inside the apartment, Evelyn settled into her chair, surrounded by Lucas's gifts

instead of Ethan's. The symbolism wasn't lost on anyone.

Olivia remained silent, her emotions a tangled mess of anger, grief, and

something she refused to acknowledge as longing. Her wolf stirred restlessly

beneath her skin.

Lucas's presence provided comfort

without pressure, his steady support

a stark contrast to Ethan's

desperate gestures. His wolf

projected calm, soothing

pheromones that helped ease the

tension.

"Thank you," Olivia whispered to Lucas, her voice barely audible.

He squeezed her hand gently. "Always."

Outside, Ethan sat in his car for long

minutes, staring up at the lit

windows of Olivia's apartment. His

wolf pressed against his

consciousness, desperate to return

to his mate.

But James's words echoed in his mind. Everything he did was in vain.

The realization hit him like a physical blow. No amount of money, no gesture of

care, could undo the damage he'd caused.

His phone buzzed with pack business, but he ignored it. For once, the Alpha King

felt powerless.

Maxwell approached the car hesitantly. "Alpha Stone? The pack council is

waiting."

Ethan started the engine without a word.

As they drove away from Maple Grove, Ethan caught one last glimpse of the

apartment building in his rearview mirror. The lights in Olivia's window seemed to

mock him.

His heart sank, his wolf retreating deeper within him.

(Third person's POV)

Victoria Frost took Emma back to

Connor Blackthorn's dilapidated

rental den from the Shadowfall

Detention Center. When Emma

heard that Ethan had taken back the

territory in Rosewood Haven and

that she and her mother would only

be able to live in such a small and

broken den in the future, her

expression changed instantly.

Without even thinking about it, she picked up her pack communication device and

called Ethan. She wanted to find her Alpha father.

How could she live in such a place? How could Alpha Father be willing to let her

live in such a place?

But the call she made was prompted to be blacklisted. Emma's little face turned

pale instantly.
