Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1892

What? The swimming pool was a shared one?

Even then, it cost around 50 thousand a night. In that case, wouldn't it cost even more to have a private swimming pool? It had to cost at least 60 or 70 thousand. To take things further, having an infinity pool with a view would likely cost 100 thousand or more.

D*mn it!

Why did he have to stay in such a luxurious hotel?

Even if she used up all her savings, including Alistair's education fund, she wouldn't be able to stay there for a single week. Was the place made of gold or silver? Why was it so expensive? It was ridiculous!

It hurt. It hurt so much that she wanted to die.

Carolien looked around and felt a little embarrassed.

If she wanted to live in a cheaper hotel, all she could do was leave the area. However, there were no cheaper places nearby. Regardless of whether a cheaper hotel was to offer her a place, it would probably be too late by the time she arrived. Even if she stayed in the relatively low-grade places outside that hotel, it would still cost 20 or 30 thousand dollars a night. The key point was that those were two independent regions, so she wouldn't be able to come and go as she wished. If she didn't stay in that hotel, her trip would be in vain.

Should she stay there or not? It was so f*cking expensive!

D*mn it!

It seemed that she had to bite the bullet.

Otherwise, her first-class ticket would go to waste.

Well, she had to at least give it a try.

Carolien gritted her teeth and handed over her ID card. "For now, I'll stay here for three days."noveldrama

It would be best if she could deal with things swiftly. She couldn't put all her eggs

in one basket, since there was the risk of failing. After thinking about it, she figured it would be better to check out earlier.

At this point, she wasn't paying for accommodation. It was a straight-up daylight robbery.

After taking the room card and the main door's access card, she was also given a bunch of coupons. Carolien was breathing so heavily that she felt like she couldn't bear it anymore.

The room was large and decorated with a trendy Scandinavian design. It was simple, yet fashionable. The space was huge, with a middle-class feel to it. The room was so aesthetically pleasing that it looked like a display set. Everything was detailed, from the huge bed and sofa to the small decorations and teacups. Right then, however, Carolien couldn't care less about anything other than the money she just lost.

Closing the door, Carolien threw herself onto the bed. He howled and cursed Elijah. "It's so expensive. There goes my money!"

What a spendthrift. He was just on a business trip, so why did he have to book such an expensive place to show off? It's not like anyone knew who he was!

"Argh! Argh!"

She clutched her chest and wailed for a long time before sitting up again. Carolien blinked, seemingly feeling better. She looked around and let out a grave sigh.

She had no idea if she would ever get the chance to stay in such a luxurious hotel again. Either way, the money was spent, and she couldn't let it go to waste. She decided to just enjoy it.

After getting up, she briefly unpacked her luggage, then walked around the room. She proceeded to grab her pajamas and take a bath.

She closed her eyes in relaxation. In her mind, she was busy scheming, but in her heart, she was silently slandering a certain someone.

Meanwhile, Elijah kept sneezing after sending Hudson away. When he got on the bed, he even joked to himself, "Who keeps thinking about me?"

The beautiful day gradually faded into a quiet, dark night. That night, both of them had a good sleep, likely due to exhaustion from traveling.

The next morning, Carolien opened her eyes. After washing up, the first thing she did was give Alistair a video call. Looking at her little brother's tender, cute face, all her fatigue and discontent seemed to disappear in an instant. After telling him to be a good kid, she reluctantly turned off her phone.

Getting up, she sniffed and clenched her fists. She swore to herself, "Don't worry, Mom. No matter how hard it is, I will raise my brother until he's all grown up."

He was not a burden to her. He never would be. On the contrary, he was the only living relative she had left.

For his sake, she couldn't break down.

Since the hotel included free

breakfast, Carolien obviously wasn't going to waste it. After changing her clothes and tidying up, she had. already made a complete plan. In order to save money, she planned to eat her fill during breakfast. As for her other two meals, she would just get whatever was cheap. If she was not hungry, she would not eat anything.

There was only one buffet restaurant for breakfast. He was probably going to be there as well.

A thought flashed through Carolien's mind. After looking at the time, she hurried outside with her bag. It was 7:15 right then. It was still early, so he probably hadn't finished eating yet.

She went straight to the restaurant and found that there were few people there. It was pretty much empty and she carefully scanned every corner. After making sure that a certain someone was not there, she took a deep breath and checked the time.

Whether he had come for work or to have fun, he probably wouldn't leave that quickly.

Breakfast was served from seven to ten o'clock. Didn't that mean she could stay there for nearly three hours? In that case, she could save money on lunch. The only problem would be if he didn't come down. Otherwise...

Wait!

After taking a plate, Carolien walked

around and took the priciest food there. She got grilled meat, shrimp and some bread. She also grabbed a drink and a bowl of soup before choosing a seat where she had a clear view of the whole restaurant. She began to enjoy the food little by little. Afraid that she would eat too fast and end up having to sit around doing nothing, she decided to use her phone while eating. Despite that, her gaze never left the door. Whenever she noticed the slightest movement out of the corner of her eye, she would glance directly at the door.

At that point, she had been sitting in the restaurant for more than an hour. It was almost nine o'clock. The restaurant went from empty to overcrowded to empty again, but that person still had yet to appear. Carolien gnawed on her spoon, and her long eyelashes fluttered. She was stunned.

Didn't he want to eat a free, luxurious breakfast?

Would she really

have to wait at the

door of his room? That would be too obvious, though. He was already disgusted by her. Wouldn't it be a waste if she was not careful enough? Most importantly, they were not staying on the same floor, and she could only use her room card to access her own floor. She couldn't go to any other floors. If she wanted to go up, she would have to consult one of the staff.

Because of that, she would have no chance to bump into him other than in the public lounge and entertainment areas. Most importantly, she didn't know if he was here for work or to travel. She wasn't aware of the situation.

Sigh...

She could see the bottom of her bowl as well as how her stomach was bulging. Carolien felt incredibly dejected.

Just as she was wondering whether she should leave or not, a lazy figure wearing a loose gray T-shirt who was in the middle of a phone call entered her sight. Like a predator catching sight of its prey, Carolien straightened her head and her eyes

glistened.

Was that Elijah?

He was here!

Finally, she had a chance!

She watched as he picked up a plate and walked to the side. Carolien grabbed a

plate of her own and went in the other direction. She quickly chose a few dishes and managed to get right behind him.
