When it came to the immediate future, peace was what she needed most urgently. She wanted a calm life.

Incidents at nightclubs were different compared to normal ones. People would pick fights for no reason at all, which was overwhelming. Not to mention, they would start hitting each other at the slightest disagreement. It was common to see blood being shed. Her life had been exhausting enough.

Thinking about it, it was a win-win situation. If she could get the contract, that would be a win for him; if she couldn't, then he would be able to get rid of another problem. Elijah wasn't involved in the entertainment industry, yet he wanted to engage in long-term cooperation with a foreign film company. It was clearly an underground operation.

Of course, Carolien no longer believed in the "commercial performances" and "publicity" that was written in the contract. It had to be about adult videos. If the topic was so straightforward, and there were no financial issues, there was no way they wouldn't be able to reach an agreement.
