Chapter 175
SAGE
Dinner ended peacefully, a rare and beautiful moment where we sat together-not as scattered pieces of a broken past, but as a real family. It felt surreal. For so long, I had convinced myself that a life without Titus was inevitable, that raising our children without him was my only reality. Yet, here we were. A family, whole at last.
Fate had tested us, throwing one cruel challenge after another. The Moon Goddess, in all her wisdom, had woven a path filled with heartbreak and longing. But somehow, despite it all, we found our way back to each other.
After dinner, we took the children to their own rooms. Their excitement was infectious, especially when they realized they wouldn't have to share a space anymore. I had no doubt that Titus would spoil them beyond reason, making up for all the time he had lost.
Once Harper and Cooper were settled, I turned to head toward my room, only to feel a strong yet gentle hand slip into mine. Titus laced our fingers together, a smirk playing on his lips as he tugged me in the opposite direction.
"Where do you think you're taking me?" I asked, raising a brow.
He didn't hesitate. "To my chambers, of course," he replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
I hesitated. "I don't think that's a good idea."
Titus chuckled, stepping closer until there was barely any space between us. "If you think I'm letting you out of my sight, even for a minute, then you clearly don't know me as well as you think." His voice dropped lower, sending a shiver down my spine. "You have years to make up to me, Sage. And I intend to collect."
Before I could protest, he tightened his grip on my hand and continued leading me toward his chamber, leaving no room for argument.
My heart pounded with every step as Titus led me toward his chambers. The air between us was thick with unspoken words, unhealed wounds, and a longing neither of us could ignore.
As we reached his room, he pushed the doors open, revealing the familiar space I had once shared with him. His scent lingered in the air, wrapping around me like a memory I had tried so hard to bury.
Titus turned to face me, his fingers still curled around mine, his grip firm yet gentle. His piercing blue eyes held a glint of

"You look scared," he murmured, his voi
dripping with amusement. "Don't worry, kitten. I'm not going to eat you."
But the way he said it sent shivers down my spine. He meant something else entirely. And we both knew it.
I swallowed hard, my heart pounding against my ribs. "I-I'm not scared," I replied, forcing my voice to remain steady despite the betraying heat crawling up my neck.
Titus tilted his head, the amusement in his gaze only deepening. "Oh, really?" he drawled, taking a slow step forward. The warmth of his body, his intoxicating scent, was almost overwhelming.
I instinctively stepped back, but his fingers tightened ever so slightly around mine, anchoring me in place. "But you should be," he murmured, his voice a rich whisper against my skin.
I sucked in a sharp breath, my pulse skittering wildly. I should be afraid of the way my body reacted to him, of the way his presence alone melted every ounce of resistance I tried to hold onto.
I gulped, trying to push down the invisible lump in my throat. "Titus..." I whispered, unsure if it was a plea or a warning.
He leaned in, his breath fanning against my cheek, his lips mere inches from mine. "Yes, my love?"

And just like that, I knew I was already trapped, caught in the web of his presence, the very place I had once sworn never to
return to.
Titus watched me with a gaze so intense it made my breath hitch. His hand slipped from mine, only to land on my waist, pulling me flush against him. His warmth seeped through the thin fabric of my dress, sending a riot of sensations through my body
"You're trembling," he observed, his voice laced with something dark and thrilling.
I-I'm not. I lied, my hands bracing against his chest. His heartbeat was steady and strong, unlike mine, which felt as though it was trying to escape my ribcage.
Titus chuckled, a low, velvety sound that made my stomach flip. "Liar," he murmured, his fingers tracing slow, lazy circles against my hip
I forced myself to take a steadying breath, but it did little to help. "W-Wait," I whispered.
His eyes darkened, his grip tightening ever so slightly. "I've waited long enough, kitten," he echoed, as if the concept itself was amusing.
I opened my mouth to protest, to say something, but Titus didn't give me the chance.
With a low, predatory growl, he closed the distance between us, his lips capturing mine in a searing, all-consuming kiss. It wasn't gentle, nor was it hesitant-it was the kiss of a man who had been starved for far too long. A kiss that stole the breath from my lungs and set fire to every nerve in my body.
I melted against him, my fingers instinctively clutching at his shirt, desperate to anchor myself in the storm he was creating inside me. He tilted his head, deepening the kiss, his hands roaming up my back, pressing me closer until there was nothing left between us.
Titus moved with the confidence of a man who knew exactly what he wanted. His lips moved against mine with a hunger that sent shivers down my spine, his fingers pressing into my lower back, keeping me flush against him.
I should have pushed him away. I should have told him to slow down, that my heart was racing too fast, that my breath was caught somewhere between surrender and disbelief. But I didn't.
Instead, I let myself fall.
His hands traced a path up my spine, leaving tingles in their wake. His warmth surrounded me, intoxicating and overwhelming all at once. When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against mine, his breath warm against my lips.
"I thought I was going to lose you," he murmured, his voice rough with emotion.
I swallowed hard, my hands still gripping the fabric of his shirt. "Titus..."
He tilted my chin up, forcing me to look into his eyes. "Tell me you want this, Sage."
My heart pounded. The answer came easier than I expected.
"Yes," I whispered.
A slow, wicked smirk spread across his lips before he scooped me up into his arms as if I weighed nothing. A surprised gasp left me, but he only chuckled, striding toward the bed with the same confidence he carried in every battle he had ever fought.
Only this time, I was his conquest.
And I wasn't sure I wanted to fight him off.

He climbed on top of me and looked at me as if he was memorizing every corner
of my face. "I can't believe you're finally here," he whispered, his warm minty breath fanning against my face. "I will never let you go, Sage. I will move heaven and earth just to keep you beside me."
I smiled, slowly reaching his face. My fingers gently caressing his cheek. "I wasn't planning on going anywhere, Your Majesty. There's no place for me but here, with you."
A deep rumble vibrated through his chest at my words, something between a sigh of relief and a sound of pure possession. His fingers tangled with mine, pressing our hands together above my head, as if he needed to feel every inch of me, to confirm I was real and not some cruel illusion.
His forehead rested against mine, his warm breath fanning my lips. "Say it again," he murmured, his voice rough with emotion.
I smiled softly, my heart pounding in my chest. "There's no place for me but here, noveldrama
with you."
A growl of satisfaction rumbled from his throat before his lips descended upon mine, claiming them with a tenderness that contradicted the raw hunger in his eyes. His kiss was slow and deliberate, as if he was committing every taste, every sensation, to memory.
I melted beneath him, letting go of everything, even our painful past, until all that was left was this. Him. Me. Us.
His lips trailed down the curve of my jaw, lingering at the sensitive spot beneath my ear. "You're mine, Sage," he murmured, his voice sending shivers down my spine. "Say it."
My breath hitched as I tilted my head, granting him better access. "I'm yours, Titus. Always."
A satisfied hum escaped him as he sealed those words with another deep, lingering kiss, and I knew this is the start of our lives together.
I let out a disappointed growl when he let go of my lips. He chuckled when he noticed my disappointment. I was craving for his touch, his lips, everything. I don't want this to be over.
“Patience, kitten, patience," he reminded me. “Before we do anything else, I wanted to ask you one thing," he said.
My throat felt dry, and I suddenly felt nervous. I had a feeling about what his question was going to be, but I still couldn't believe it. I stayed silent as I waited in
too much anticipation.
"Will you be my queen?"
My breath hitched, my heart pounding so loudly I swore he could hear it. My
fingers clenched the sheets beneath me as I stared up at him, wide-eyed. I had imagined this moment before-countless times, in different ways. But never like this." Never with my body still humming from his kisses, never with his eyes burning into mine as if he would claim not just my heart, but my very soul. Titus watched me intently, his expression unreadable. But I could see the raw emotion in his gaze. He wasn't asking as a king demanding loyalty. He was asking as a man, offering his heart.
I swallowed hard, my lips parting, but the words caught in my throat.
"Say something, kitten," he murmured, his voice lower now, rougher. "Or else I might start thinking I misread things."
I let out a shaky breath, a soft, nervous laugh escaping my lips. My hands lifted, trembling slightly as I cupped his face. "You're really asking me that?" I whispered.
His lips quirked into a smirk, but his eyes were serious. "I've never been more certain of anything in my life, Sage. I want you by my side. Not just as my mate.
Not just as the mother of my children. As my queen."

Emotion swelled in my chest, so overwhelming it nearly stole my breath. The
weight of his words, of what this mean-it was almost too much. But at the same time, it felt so right.
A slow smile spread across my lips as my fingers traced his jaw. "Yes, Titus," I whispered. I will be your queen."
His eyes darkened, and before I could say another word, his lips crashed against
mine again—this time with even more passion, more purpose. It was a kiss of promise, of devotion, of something
