recommend that you visit a hospital for a more thorough examination."

Simon's grip on his phone tightened, and with a heavy thud, he sank back into his swivel chair.

Low sperm motility?

The test results revealed that his chances of fathering a child were incredibly low.

He had been so absorbed in his schemes against Janice in the business world that he had completely neglected his health. The medical center had called multiple times, but he had ignored every one of them.

"Simon, what's wrong?" Elsie asked.

Simon snapped and pointed toward the door. "Simon? Are you illiterate? You address me as Mr. Fitzgerald in this company!"

With a scowl, Elsie shot back, "And just who do you think you're yelling at? Having

a bad day doesn't give you the right to take it out on me! Do I look like I owe you anything?"

No woman had ever dared to speak to him like that. Simon's expression darkened.

But then he remembered that he still needed Elsie and Arthur's backing. He clenched his fists, swallowing his anger. "Just get out! I don't want to talk to you right now!"

Elsie wasn't in the mood to argue.

People often said financial struggles could destroy a relationship, but they weren't even in financial trouble-Simon was just dealing with a few setbacks, and he was already treating her like this.

Elsie couldn't tolerate it.

Nonetheless, she had invested too much to walk away now. For now, she would just have to endure his anger.

Meanwhile, Simon couldn't accept the possibility that he might be infertile. Unable to wait until morning, he rushed to the hospital that very night for a full set of tests.

The attending doctor examined the results carefully, adjusting his glasses. "Have you had any previous exams?"

"No."

"Has any woman ever become pregnant by you?"

The doctor's expression shifted. "According to these results, your sperm seems to have suffered significant damage. However, your bloodwork is normal. Have you been on any medication recently?"

It appeared as though Simon's sperm had been destroyed all at once, as if

something had caused a sudden and complete shutdown.

Even poison wouldn't have this kind of immediate effect.

Unless it wasn't something that could be found domestically.

"Medication?"

Simon's heart began to race. "I've only been taking sleeping pills, nothing else. Could it be from stress, overworking, or drinking?"

Stress?

The doctor glanced at Simon's full stomach, a testament to his recent lavish meals with Elsie at fancy hotels. His complexion was healthy, with no dark circles in sight. The rest of Simon's medical records showed nothing out of the ordinary

Everything was normal.

Except for one thing-his sperm was completely nonviable.

After a brief pause, the doctor shook his head. "I suspect you ingested something that caused this-and it's likely permanent. There have been similar cases in the country, but those were linked to congenital issues. As for your case-"

"Please take another look," Simon begged, his voice filled with growing desperation. "Is there no hope,

doctor? I'm still young! I haven't met

had children yet! I'm the only son in my family, and my business' future depends on me having heirs!"

His pride, ego, and identity were all tied to his status as a man. Now, this diagnosis felt like a death sentence. How could he accept it?

The doctor adjusted his glasses again.

He recognized Simon's name. It had been making the rounds in Greenfield City for months, though rarely in a positive light.

After a moment's thought, the doctor shook his head once more. If it were simply low sperm motility, there might still be a chance for treatment. But his sperm was practically lifeless. There was nothing left to treat.

Simon's temper exploded. "Useless! What kind of doctor are you if you can't fix something like this?"

With that, he grabbed the test results and stormed out.

The doctor remained unfazed. In his profession, dealing with men whose egos had been shattered was routine. But this... This was going to be a major headline.
