Capture Her Heart After Marriage

Chapter 3 He Was the New President!

Chapter 3 He Was the New President!

When they arrived, the lobby was already full of people, and several secretaries were whispering loudly to one another.

“Have you heard? The new president is from the capital! He’s both influential and well off! Most importantly, he’s still single!” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“No he’s not! The new president has been married for a long time, but he doesn’t like his wife at all as she was arranged by the family.”

“No, I knew that, but marriage doesn’t mean his heart is taken. I heard he had a beloved girlfriend and he married his current wife without any love under the pressure from his family after they broke up.”

While the secretaries talked in full swing, Lynn couldn’t help but to overhear them. She turned to gossip with Alexia.

“Aily, did you hear what they said? I wonder what our new boss looks like. Maybe a tall, rich and handsome man?”

“I don’t know.”

Alexia played with the wedding ring on her ring finger. She didn’t care as she married the best man in the world and was really not interested in others at all. She wouldn’t regret it even if Chaim didn’t like her, after all she was the active party in their marriage. No matter what, she would be loyal to him to the end!

“Ah! The president is here!” The female employees around her excitedly squealed.

The manager immediately scolded them in a loud voice, “Shut up! The president will be here soon!” and all of them kept their mouths shut.

Alexia’s colleagues who were standing on tiptoe and looking hard pushed her aside to see better, and she also looked over to the gate.

Through the dense crowd, Alexia watched several business cars parking at the gate, with a black Maybach at the front. Several higher-ups respectfully stood on either side.

As the driver opened the car’s door, a pair of perfectly straight and slender legs wrapped in black suit pants stepped out of the car. Just looking at such a pair of legs, the female employees beside her covered their mouths and screamed in excitement.

He had to be a really handsome man. Could someone with such a pair of long legs look so bad?

Alexia moved her gaze up a bit, and noticed that the man came out of the car, wearing a black suit that outlined the masculine body underneath, with a white shirt and the same black tie.

He looked quite ascetic.

When the man spoke with others, his Adam’s apple slid up and down in a mesmerizing way. Alexia couldn’t help feeling enchanted and she risked a glance up toward the man’s face. She had to hold back a gasp when she recognized his face, the face that had greeted her in her dream the night before.

OMG!

Why did her new president look like—no, it really was Chaim! He, he was the new president?

How could she imagine they met again in such a way after parting less than ten minutes prior? And not only that, but to have him become her president? What kind of fate is this!

“Hello, Mr. Lancaster. Our employees are waiting for you.” A higher-up nodded and bowed respectfully.

At that moment, several people exited the cars behind Chaim, both men and women, all wearing suits and leather shoes, carrying briefcases in their hands. They were all business elites.

They should be executives and secretaries who were transferred from the headquarters.

“Please, let me show you around.”

Chaim looked around with a poker face and walked towards the company lobby.

Watching Chaim enter the building, many of the female employees couldn’t help blushing and looked at him covertly.

Chaim ignored all of them and walked straight to the elevator. Alexia held her breath and lowered her head. She risked a glance up and regretted it instantly as she caught a glimpse of Chaim looking in her direction.

Oh no! Would she be discovered?

Alexia hastily lowered her head, trying to determine if she should hide or not, but Chaim quickly looked away, acting as if he hadn’t seen anything. Alexia breathed a sigh of relief.

“Mr. Lancaster, all staff are here. We are really looking forward to your arrival.” The higher-ups hurriedly walked over to flatter their new president.

With no interest in flattery at all, Chaim responded frostily, leading the group of executives into the elevator. As the elevator doors closed, Alexia heard the people around her whispering about Chaim’s appearance and temperament.

He seemed to own good words like “handsome” or “noble” inherently. Alexia wasn’t in the mood to gossip with them. Her heart was racing and she wanted to leave but Lynn pulled her back in

excitement.

“Aily, did you see it? My goodness, he is so handsome!”

“That’s… of course.”

Alexia desperately tried to steady her breathing, but her lips trembled slightly. She knew better than everyone there how handsome Chaim was. Even years later, she could still remember meeting him for the first time.

At that time, she gave Chaim her heart. She was completely fascinated by him and wanted to be closer to him.

So, when she heard the Lancaster family was looking to choose a suitable wife for him, she plucked up the courage to go to the interview and tried her best to become his wife. But her heart stumbled when she remembered the look in Chaim’s eyes just then, as if he was looking at a stranger. Not to mention his words about not wanting a child.

Did he not want a child? Or did he simply not want her to have a child with him?

Alexia sighed, she knew Chaim didn’t want others to know about their relationship, so she never mentioned it to anyone. Perhaps, that was their marriage…
