Celestial Queen: Revenge Is Sweet When You’re A Zillionaire Heiress

Chapter 1783

Chapter 1783:

Backing Celine into a corner would surely provoke retaliation against her father and her child. Celine’s life wasn’t worth the risk.

“Celine, who’s backing you?” Harlee asked, her voice steady but low.

A fleeting look of unease crossed Celine’s eyes before she composed herself. “You don’t deserve to know. Harlee, I want you on your knees now!”

Rhys, despite his injury, gently tugged Harlee’s hand, shook his head subtly, and said, “Let me guess. Given what happened to Matteo and the Rapper family, those folks from Mechuique wouldn’t dare target us again. If I’m not wrong, you’re backed by those elusive assassins from North Island.”noveldrama

His voice faltered slightly. The blood loss from his thigh wound was evident, his forehead glistening with sweat.

Celine’s eyes widened in shock, her pulse quickening. How had Rhys guessed her backers so accurately?

For a moment, her resolve wavered. Maybe she should have heeded her father’s advice and stayed out of this. But it was too late for regrets now.

“Harlee, kneel and beg for mercy right now, or I will shoot Lonnie!” Celine shouted, her voice harsh as she raised the gun and aimed it at Lonnie.

Harlee and Rhys exchanged a look, lowered their eyes, and discreetly sent new instructions to Robbie and the others.

Watching from their hidden positions around the factory, Robbie and his team received the new directives.

“Damn it. I’ll handle those North Island assassins,” Robbie muttered. “Thiago, get Kareem to raise the security alert. We can’t let any of those North Island bastards escape.”

Robbie quickly coordinated with Cillian and a few others to deal with the threat. Ten minutes later, they had neutralized all immediate dangers. The mysterious assassins from North Island were contained and could no longer communicate with Celine.

Inside the abandoned factory, only four North Island assassins remained. During the ordeal, Harlee, determined to protect Lonnie, took a bullet to her thigh and reluctantly knelt, pleading for mercy.

“Ha-ha, Harlee, so you too have your day!” Celine gloated, laughing uproariously as she watched Harlee kneel. Her guard dropped completely, and she failed to notice that Rhys had slipped away or that her two attendants had fallen silent and were no longer responsive.

By the time Celine sensed something was off, Harlee sprang into action. With a swift move, she stood, seized Celine by the neck, yanked the communicator from her ear, and used her momentum to flip Celine over, pinning her down.

“Ah!” Celine cried out, caught off guard. She had no chance to threaten Harlee or use Lonnie as leverage before finding herself subdued.

The two women grappled on the floor, rolling and struggling. Though Celine was no match for Harlee in terms of skill, Harlee’s injured thigh and emotional strain slowed her down, making the fight more even than usual.

Meanwhile, Rhys made his way deeper into the factory. Accompanied by Patrick and Serena, who had been tailing him, they confronted two of the remaining North Island assassins.

Patrick carried Lonnie on his back while Rhys neutralized the last assassin. Serena moved to examine a specially designed glass case.
