Chapter 1042
"This has nothing to do with Aurora. It's my own conclusion," Theodore said. "I just want to know if you..."
"Theo," Rosalie said, cutting him off. "I don't want to slap you one more time. Please stop talking. I've really had enough of all your interrogation. We keep doubting each other, and I feel so tired each time I see you. I've honestly had enough!"
She turned around to leave, looking despondent.
"Rose!" Theodore hugged her from behind. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have doubted you."
Rosalie smiled weakly.
His mood shifted so quickly. A minute ago, he was still doubting her. Now, he was apologizing to her. It was the same in the past; he would treat her so tenderly one moment, then he would bring up divorce the next.
"Let me go," she said firmly. "We're divorced. I have a husband while you have a girlfriend. Is it appropriate for you to behave like this?"
Theodore shut his eyes in pain. "I'll release you in ten seconds. Give me ten more seconds."
He counted down inwardly.
Right now, having her for ten more seconds was a luxury that he couldn't afford even with all the money in the world.
Rosalie sighed.
For Theodore, these ten seconds passed in the blink of an eye. He eventually let her go.
"Theodore Spencer," Rosalie said, "rather than doubting me, you should take a good look at whether the people around you are trustworthy to begin with. Have you ever considered the possibility that Aurora might have been the one who leaked the information?"
However, Theodore immediately denied the possibility.
"No, that's impossible. Sebastian had hurt her before, how could she possibly leak the information to him? She only wished he'd go to jail faster. I know you're biased against Aurora, but this really has nothing to do with her. One must have the motive to do something, and she has none."
"Really?" Rosalie gripped her bag tighter. "You're her motive."
With that, she turned to leave.
This time around, Theodore didn't
stop her. He simply stared blanketUpstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
her for a long while, until his vision turned blurry and mixed feelings overwhelmed him inside.
Rosalie's words rang in his ears.
"You're her motive."
Her words struck him like thunder.
Theodore didn't want to suspect Aurora. She was such a kind and vulnerable lady, so how could she possibly do this?
She and Sebastian had never come into contact before. How did she get the chance to tell him about it?
Meanwhile, sweat beaded Aurora's brows as she watched on from a distance.
How did this happen? How did things turn out like this?
She had initially wanted Theodore to doubt Rosalie, but she didn't expect Rosalie to turn the tables and make Theodore suspect her instead.
What should she do now?
She was indeed the one behind this, and she naturally had a guilty conscience.
The thought of being exposed flooded her with anxiety. Her diseased heart almost couldn't take the pressure.
Aurora felt breathless.
'Oh no! Would Theodore turn around and question me instead? What should I say?' Aurora thought, panicked.
Should she admit it? But she would
be doomed if she did! She had betrayed Theodore in such an. important matter. He would surely take this as an excuse to dump her.
But if she didn't, what if Theodore found out by himself? Things would only get worse.
No, she definitely couldn't let her relationship with him end like this right now!
With that in mind, Aurora pulled out the pill from her pocket.
