Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 996

Chapter 996

Rosalie felt utterly miserable. She didn't want to say anything and released Sebastian's arm. She took a few steps back, overwhelmed by her emotions.

"Rose." Sebastian supported her, pitying her. "Let me take you back to rest. You shouldn't stay here. Let's go."

"I'm not leaving. I need to stay here with him." Rosalie's gaze shifted toward Justin's direction.

Though Theodore had caused her heartache, the most important matter now was Justin. Theodore no longer mattered; whatever he did with Aurora was his own business.

She just wanted Justin to wake up.

Rosalie anxiously stood by the glass doors of the ICU, her gaze filled with worry and helplessness. The ICU was filled with a sterile chill, with only the beeping of machines breaking the stillness inside.

She looked at Justin lying motionless on the bed, his face pale and lifeless.

Rosalie clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her flesh, but she felt no pain. Her focus was entirely on the scene before her.

Suddenly, Justin's body began convulsing violently, and his breathing became rapid and irregular.

The machines started beeping.

Rosalie panicked. "Doctor, doctor!"

Medical staff rushed to Justin's bedside. Dressed in white uniforms, masks, and gloves, they moved with professional urgency.

The attending doctor issued instructions while performing chest compressions.

The beeping grew more rapid, with various readings flashing on the monitors.

Rosalie's eyes were fixed on the monitoring equipment, her heart filled with anxiety and fear. She wanted to rush in, but a nurse stopped her.

"Please remain calm. We are doing everything we can." The nurse pushed Rosalie back and swiftly prepared medication with a syringe in her hand.

Time seemed to slow down, and with each second, Rosalie's panic intensified. Silent tears rolled down her face, but she struggled to control her emotions, not wanting to disturb the medical staff. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

"Justin, please be safe," she thought. "Please be safe."

Rosalie was trembling, and Sebastian held her close. "Rose, he'll be alright," he assured her softly.

In truth, Sebastian would prefer

Justin to die because he sensed that

Justin was a threat. However, if

Justin actually died, wouldn't that

considering he had fired at the man?

The situation had become unbearably complex, filling Sebastian with frustration. Yet, he could only continue to comfort Rosalie, holding her tightly in his arms.

"Rose, don't look. Leave it all to the doctors. They'll do everything they can for him."

Aurora lay on her hospital bed, looking frail and wounded, clearly having suffered.

Theodore sat by her side, holding her hand. "I'm sorry, Aurora. I should have taken you somewhere else. I shouldn't have brought you to this hospital."

In truth, Theodore had his selfish

reasons. He brought Aurora here thinking that he might catch a glimpse of Rosalie and have another excuse to see her. He hadn't

expected things to turn out this way.

"It's alright, Theo. I understand. This isn't your fault, it's mine. I shouldn't have said those things to her. I just... I just wanted to make you happy, so I couldn't hold back. I'm sorry."

Aurora's face was tear-streaked, looking pitifully delicate.

Theodore took out a tissue and gently wiped her tears away. "Aurora, don't do something so foolish like this again."
