She had never seen Kylan Ross wear anything but a suit, or at the very least, a nice button-down. Not in the three years, she had worker assistant. He was exceptionally particular about the suits he wore, too. He only bought from the same two luxury department stores
that he deemed acceptable.
It was a shock, to see Kylan currently sitting next to her in the car, wearing a pair of black designer jeans and a white V-neck T-shirt. He did opt to wear lilack loafers though, despite her best efforts to convince him, otherwise. He finished off the look with a black leather jacket, and she had no doubt it was real as well.
He looked good, she had to admit. Even though he had a permanent scowl on his face while they drove to the stadiurn. She did her best to console him, but it was obvious he was completely on edge. the standard
I have hand sanitizer, as well as cleansing wipes, she reminded Kylan, just as Oscar pulled up to the stadium. "We also get to bypass entrance, Ryan organized it so that we can go in through VIP" She opened her bag, pulling out the white envelope that contained her tickets. "Well abo be in a booth, of sorts. It isn't entirely private, but it isn't quite next to the general public, either." She further attempted to placate her boss. Kylan's jaw was visibly tense as he stared outside the window at the growing crowd of people, all gathered in front of the expansive stadium. "Let's just get this over with," he finally mumbled. He opened the door to the SUV, stepped outside, and held his hand out for her to take, as was the
She shot a nervous glance at Oscar, who gave her a reassuring smile, and then she grabbed a hold of Kylan's hand and stepped out onto the sidewalk. She looked at Kylan to the right of her, watching as he eyed his surroundings with open disgust, not even attempting to look like he wasn't already miserable.
"I know you don't want to be here, but people are already looking at us. I need you to try and seem well.. like you want to be here with me. Can you do that?" she whispered to him, reaching around and running her hand along the side of his neck, hoping that it would read as affectionate to the small crowd watching them,
The corner of Kylan's mouth twitched at the sudden added physical contact, but he didn't pull away from her. She observed as he closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them again, he looked noticeably less.. hostile. He still didn't look happy, but she knew he likely never would. However, he at least seemed like he didn't hate her touching him, either.
He surprised her, reaching his own hand forward and grabbing holding of her chin softly. He turned her face up toward his, and her eyes widened.
"I can do that, Katrina," he breathed, the distinct smell of mint drifting across her face.
He then startled the hell out of her, and he bent down and placed an incredibly chaste kiss right in the center of her forehead. Her eyelids fluttered closed at the unexpected feeling of his lips on her skin, and she swallowed a sudden lump in her throat.
Kylan was a normal cold and closed-off person. He never showed affection to anyone. She often wondered how the hell he ever got close enough to a woman, to sleep with her. So, her boss doing something like kissing her forehead! She had no idea how to process the way it made her feel.
Kylan withdrew from the kiss, standing up straight once again and clearing his throat. "Sufficient?" he murmured only for her to hear. She barked a short laugh and nodded. "Sufficient."
She fixed her hair and then reached into her bag and fumbled around until she found the hat she was searching for. She shifted to stand in front of Kylan, letting go of his hand.
Kylan eyed her hands wearily, "You weren't being serious. I'm not wearing that shit," he told her seriously.
She expected him to push back, but she wasn't about to budge. She knew it would be beneficial if Kylan looked the part of a willing onlooker for the

Kylan was livid, which wasn't shocking. He was glaring down at her, and she laughed at him. "You need to enjoy my company, remember? Stop glaring and hold my hand" She reached down and took a hold of his land in hers "Come on."
She began to lead him into the stadium, following the signs for the VIP entrance overhead.
Her boss was especially quiet, but he didn't let go of her hand, and he didn't appear to be glaring at her anymore. It progressed, she guessed, and she didn't push him anymore, as she handed their tickets over to the attendant and listened to the instructions about where their booths was located.
She looked at Kylan while they walked to their booth, and he was surveying the crowd of people around him apprehensively. "To people make you nervous, or is it only the germs?" she leaned over to whisper in his car. Chapter Is
