Chapter 392 Verification
Dominic narrowed his eyes. "You should get rid of the baby as soon as possible, then. Don't give anyone an opportunity to run any DNA tests. Otherwise, your slander won't work."
Rosa had also realized that her ideas were nothing more than empty words. The minute she said it out loud, she knew it wouldn't work.
"I wish I never met you, lan." She turned to leave with no hesitation.
After she walked out of the door, lan lit a cigarette. He looked irritated. He couldn't pretend to be relaxed anymore.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Since Dominic knew him very well, he understood how he felt. "At least you're sending her back to your father safe and sound. It's better if this matter can be resolved without any issues. Blowing this out of proportion won't do your family any good either." lan didn't respond. He put his cigarette out and walked away. He was going to look for Rosa. He was still worried that she'd endanger her own life. Despite everything, they used to be in a relationship, after all.
He knew he wasn't a good partner. He used to be terrible at relationships. He owed everything to Rosa. This was the last thing he was going to do for her.
...
Around 8:00 pm, Dominic made his way to Bella's home.
After opening the door for him, Cara handed him a set of keys to the house. "I got you your own set of keys, Mr. Miller. You can just unlock the door on your own the next time you drop by. The knocking makes me and Ms. Jones nervous." He pocketed the keys and nodded. Then, he looked at Bella, who was currently nestled on the couch.
She didn't look at him. Her eyes were focused on the book she was reading. It seemed as though she was no longer interested in him.
He changed into a pair of house slippers before taking a seat next to her. "You should go to bed soon."
"I took a nap this afternoon. I'm not tired." She turned the page before blurting out.
She was acting cold and distant. There was no room for any conversation. Dominic wasn't exactly a smooth-talker either. After a moment of thinking, he finally recalled the incident regarding lan and the Clarke family.
This managed to pique Bella's attention. She lifted her head to look at him before asking, "Really? Who's the father? I can't believe Rosa would do such a thing..."
Dominic silently observed her expression. She looked extremely innocent. He couldn't see any cracks in her demeanor.
"I don't know. She wouldn't tell us," he said. "This is the Clarke family's affair. I only happened to overhear parts of the conversation. Ian's father is the one who will decide on what to do."
Bella straightened her posture
before solemnly expressing her own
opinion, "As a rich man's wife, Rosa could've been set for life. She fumbled everything. They're most likely going to get a divorce, right? You lot are incredibly clever, She probably won't be able to get a lot from the divorce settlement."
His lips curved up in amusement. "So, do you think I'm clever too? You were the one who refused to take any money from me when we broke up. I don't think I'm the stingy type."
"That's a breakup, not a divorce. If the same thing happened to us, would you be willing to give me half of your assets?" she asked in return.
He reached out to grab her waist with a sly expression. "You'll never know if you don't give it a try. Do you want to find out? You'll need to marry me first, though."
Bella was incredibly sensitive to the
word "marriage". She tried to avoid

the topic by retorting, "What nonsense are you talking about? This is not something you can just try out. There's no way I'll be able to do it."
Lowering his gaze, Dominic asked nonchalantly, "Have you ever been with Sean Morse?"
She froze for a moment. "What are you talking about? He's like a kid. If I ever made a move on him, I'd feel like a criminal."
Subsequently, she seemed to have picked something up from his expression. "Did you tell me about the Clarks to check if the baby I'm carrying is yours? You didn't need to go through all that trouble, Dominic."
