Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen

Chapter 247

Romantic Revelations is a colossal celebrity reality show produced by Ivybrook Entertainment Network, focused on the theme of post-marital life.

Normally, reality shows centered on simulated romances are quite common, but those portraying married life are rare due to their more daring nature. This time, Ivybrook Entertainment Network decided to take a leap of faith and not only highlight the concept of "life after marriage", but also invite the most popular and renowned celebrities of the time.

From the moment Romantic Revelations was green-lit, the production team began soliciting public opinions via their official social media handle, askingizens which celebrity pairings they would love to see.

During this time, Defender's Honor was enjoying a wave of popularity. Consequently, the comment section of Romantic Revelations was flooded with fans rooting for the pairing of "E&E".

However, this uprising of "E&E" caused discontent among fans of the "Spring Couple". Old fans of Egbert and Aurora, who couldn't bear the thought of Egbert being paired with another woman, began to rally for the "Spring Couple".

In order to drum up publicity for the show, the production team daringly invited Egbert, Eileen, and Aurora to participate in the show. As expected, all three initially declined. But the team didn't give up. After several months of persuasion, they finally managed to trick the three celebrities into participating!

The moment the cast was confirmed, the production team began filming full steam ahead.

On Monday, in a shopping mall in the city of Ivybrook, Eileen was brought to the first floor of a large mall early in the morning. The mall was empty, only the cameraman filming her.

Upon entering, a little boy in a suit and tie approached her with a heart-adorned envelope. Eileen took the envelope, and playfully ruffled the boy's styled hair, messing up his neat appearance. The boy quickly protected his hairstyle and hurriedly ran away from Eileen's teasing touch.

Unfolding the envelope, Eileen found a map inside. Following the map led her to the men's clothing section on the second floor. Finally, she arrived at an open area adorned with flowers and balloons.

Awaiting her arrival, the show host, holding a set of cue cards, warmly greeted her, "Welcome to the Romantic Bridal Shop. I'll be asking you three questions. After answering them all, you, as the prospective bride, will receive a handmade wedding dress sponsored by our shop. Are you ready?"

Eileen, surprised, asked, "A wedding dress for me?"

The host confirmed, "Yes."

Eileen asked, "Can I take it with me?"

The host nodded, "Of course."

Eileen continued, "Can I keep it after the show?"

The host was speechless.

Seeing the host's silence, Eileen knew that she couldn't really get it.

Realizing she probably wouldn't be able to keep the dress, Eileen seemed less enthusiastic. She sighed and said, "Ask away."

The host started with the first question, "What physical appearance do you desire in your future husband?"

Eileen pondered over Egbert's face, then confidently said, "Not too handsome. I don't want a handsome man."

The host was surprised, "Not handsome?"

Eileen explained, "Yes. Handsome men are often fickle. I don't like handsome men."

The host moved to the second question, "Is there a male celebrity in the entertainment industry whom you admire and wish to develop a relationship with?"

Without hesitation, Eileen shook her head, "No."

The host proceeded to ask the third question, "If you had to choose one of the following male celebrities whom you've worked with to be your partner, who would you choose? One, Josiah. Two, Hubery. Three, Eddie. Four, Bartley. Five, Jarvis. Six, Egbert."

Eileen thought for a moment before responding, "Hubery, I guess."

The host was taken aback, "Hubery?"

Eileen nodded, "Yes. I've always wanted to have a dog, but can't due to my living conditions and busy work schedule. If I could have Hubery, it would be great. He's a good dog, can take care of his own needs, and I wouldn't need to walk him. Plus, I could train him to fetch my slippers. I think it would be fun to have him as my pet."

The host was speechless.

Once all the questions were answered, the host indicated towards a room at the end of the corridor, "Please go to the room at the end of the corridor." Eileen walked towards the room. As she entered, she saw the room was filled with wedding dresses, but there was no one else in the room.

In the center of the room was a long sofa, opposite of which was a television. Eileen took a seat on the sofa, and suddenly, the television turned on. Aurora's face appeared on the screen. Eileen was taken aback. She had no idea that Aurora was also a guest on the show. She leaned back on the sofa and watched as Aurora went through the same process, answering the same set of questions.

"Physical appearance?" Aurora chuckled softly, brushing her long, silky hair aside before answering, "I don't have any specific physical appearance in mind. I believe what matters most in a relationship is compatibility, not appearance."

The host then posed a second question, "In the entertainment industry, is there a male celebrity you could see becoming more than friends with?" Aurora blushed and said shyly, "Um, there is one."

The host eagerly inquired, "Can you share his name?"

Aurora's cheeks turned even redder as she bashfully responded, "I'd rather not say his name, it's a bit embarrassing..."

Moving on, the host asked the third question, "Out of all the male artists you've worked with, pick one."noveldrama

Aurora seemed troubled, hesitating for a while before finally confessing to the camera, "I'm sorry, but if I must choose, I guess it would be...uhm... Mr. Reed."

In the room, Eileen narrowed her eyes, her fingers tapping rhythmically on the leather armrest of the couch, lips pursed.

The TV host burst out laughing, declaring, "Just as expected."

Aurora covered her face in embarrassment, her ears burning as she stammered, "What do you mean 'expected'? It sounds as if there's something going on between Mr. Reed and I... but there's not! You made me choose..."

The host chuckled, "Please proceed to the dressing room at the end of the hall. Your wedding gown awaits, and your groom will be arriving shortly." With a tender smile on her face, Aurora stepped forward in her white heels, biting her lip in anticipation as she opened the door at the end of the corridor.

The next moment, Aurora was stunned.

In the room, Eileen sat in the middle of the couch, leaning back with one leg crossed over the other, arms folded, glancing at the woman standing at the door.

Seeing Aurora hesitate at the entrance, Eileen raised an eyebrow impatiently, "What are you staring at? Don't get any ideas, I'm not your husband. Marrying you? I'd rather be a monk."
