Falling for my Ex-Fiancee’s Best friend

Good morning-2

Nathan slowly opened his eyes, greeted by the soft rays of the sunlight filtering through the curtains.

It was a Sunday morning, and as he turned his head, he saw Demelza sleeping peacefully beside him, her eyes still closed.

He leaned in and he planted a gentle kiss on her forehead, hoping to start the day on a positive note.

To his surprise, Demelza’s eyes fluttered open, her expression still clouded with annoyance.

“Good morning,” she muttered, her voice laced with obvious discontent.

It was clear that she was still upset with him for allowing his baby mama, Silver, to spend the night in the guest room.

As Demelza attempted to sit up, Nathan instinctively reached out, his hand gently pulling her back. “Wait my love,” he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. “I promise, I’ll do something about Silver. I don’t want her causing any more trouble between us.”

Just as Nathan was about to explain further, his phone suddenly rang, interrupting their conversation.

He sighed, realizing it was his client calling. As he picked up the phone, his client’s urgent voice filled his ear, demanding to see him immediately.

Nathan’s brows furrowed, realizing that his morning plans were about to change.

Turning to Demelza, he quickly relayed the situation. “I’ll handle Silver’s issue when I get back, I promise,” he assured her, hoping to ease her concerns.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

With a quick peck on her cheek, he hurriedly left the house, his mind already racing with thoughts of the impending meeting.

However, before he left, Nathan made a stop to the guest room, where Silver was staying.

He entered the room, his voice firm as he warned her, “Behave yourself, Silver. Leave Demelza alone. I won’t tolerate any more drama.”

Silver, her expression defiant, met his gaze. “We will see about that, my love” she said, her voice dripping with mischief.

Nathan shook his head, knowing that dealing with Silver would be an ongoing challenge.

As he closed the door behind him, Nathan couldn’t help but feel torn between the two women in his life.

He knew he had to find a way to resolve the situation with Silver, but he also wanted to reassure Demelza that she was his priority.

As soon as Nathan left, Demelza found herself craving a refreshing glass of juice.

With a sigh, she made her way downstairs to the kitchen, hoping to quench her thirst.

Little did she know that trouble was brewing just a few steps away.

As Demelza opened the fridge, her eyes fell upon the familiar figure of Silver walking into the kitchen.

Ignoring the tension that hung in the air, she focused on her own needs and reached for the juice carton.

Pouring herself a glass, she relished the cool liquid cascading into the transparent container.

However, Silver, never one to be ignored, decided to assert her presence. “Hey, Demelza,” she commanded, her voice dripping with entitlement. “Get me a glass too.”

Demelza’s heart sank. She knew that ignoring Silver’s demands would only invite trouble, but she also didn’t want to escalate the situation.

Ignoring the request, she pretended not to hear, hoping that Silver would take the hint and leave her be.

Returning the pack of juice back into the fridge, Demelza turned around, only to find Silver already holding a glass and taking a sip.

The audacity of the woman left Demelza speechless. She clenched her fists, fighting the urge to confront Silver and put her in her place.

Instead, Demelza took a deep breath, reminding herself that engaging with Silver would only lead to more drama.

She chose to rise above the pettiness, silently vowing to maintain her composure and not let Silver’s trouble ruin her day.

Silver and Demelza stood across from each other, the air was filled with tension as they engaged in a heated conversation.

Silver had already taken a sip from Demelza’s glass, much to her dismay.

Demelza’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Silver, what on earth do you think you’re doing? That was my drink!”

Silver smirked, her hand gently resting on her still flat pregnant tummy. “Oh, Demelza, are you really going to get upset over a sip of juice? It’s not like I’m stealing your soul or your man.” She smirked

Demelza’s face flushed with anger. “No, but you’re stealing my drink! And don’t you dare bring up your pregnancy as an excuse. It doesn’t give you the right to act like a witch.”

Silver’s eyes narrowed, her hand now rubbing her belly protectively. “So, you think you can beat up a pregnant woman, is that it? How low can you stoop, Demelza?”

The words hung in the air, heavy with accusation. Demelza’s anger turned into shock, her mouth agape. “I… I never said anything about hurting you, Silver. I just want you to respect my boundaries.”

Without warning, Silver grabbed the glass of juice and poured its contents onto Demelza’s face. The cold liquid dripped down her cheeks, leaving her stunned and speechless.

“I hope this teaches you a lesson, Demelza,” Silver said, her voice dripping with disdain. “No one messes with me, pregnant or not.”

With that, Silver turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Demelza sitting there, her face wet and her heart heavy with confusion and hurt.

Demelza tried to gather herself, unsure of what had just transpired.

Demelza, drenched in the sticky juice that Silver had poured on her, walked upstairs to their bedroom, her mind still reeling from the shocking incident.

She couldn’t believe what had just happened, what she had witnessed.

As she entered the bedroom, she decided to take a cold shower to calm her nerves and try to make sense of it all.

Hours later, Nathan finally returned home, sensing the tension in the air as soon as he stepped through the door.

Demelza, her hair wet from the cold shower, approached him with a mix of anger and hurt in her eyes.

She wasted no time in recounting the events that had unfolded in his absence, her voice trembling with emotion.

“I can’t believe she did that to me, Nathan,” Demelza said, her voice laced with disbelief. “She poured that juice all over me, as if I’m some kind of trash. I can’t tolerate her presence in this house anymore.”

Nathan, his face filled with regret, pleaded with Demelza, “Please, give me a little more time to sort things out. I never wanted this to happen. I promise I’ll handle it, but I need some time to figure out the best way to handle Silver.”

Demelza, feeling a mix of frustration and disappointment, shook her head. “Nathan, I can’t keep living like this. I deserve better than this constant drama. I’ve packed a few things for work tomorrow, and I’ve decided to stay at a hotel for now. I need some space to think and process everything that has happened.”

Nathan’s eyes widened with panic as he realized the gravity of the situation. “Wait, Demelza, please don’t leave. Let’s talk this through. I don’t want to lose you.”

Demelza, her resolve firm, turned away from him and walked into the closet to grab her belongings.

“Nathan, I need time to think about what I want and what’s best for me. This isn’t just about Silver; it’s about us and the trust that has been broken. I can’t ignore that.”

As Demelza walked out of the house, she flagged a cab and made her way to a hotel as she couldn’t go home because her parents warned Her.

She called room service and placed an order for a bottle of wine, hoping it would help her unwind.

She glanced through her phone and saw fifteen missed calls from Nathan. She ignored it.

A little while later, there was a knock on the door, and the hotel staff delivered the wine.

Demelza thanked them and settled into a chair, pouring herself a glass. Lost in her thoughts, she contemplated the future of her relationship with Nathan and the difficult decision she would have to make.

As she sipped her wine, her phone buzzed with a new message from Nathan.

She glanced at it briefly but chose not to respond, needing time and space to process her emotions.

Tonight, she would focus on herself, finding solace in the quiet of the hotel room and a fresh start in the morning by going to work.
