Chapter 11
Chapter 11
"I think I've seen that tattoo," Katie said.
"Is it true? Where?" asked Tom and Scott together.
“Give me some time to remember it. So, where are we going now?” Katie asked.
"We're going to Mrs. Jenkins's house," Scott replied.
"But, Scott, it's getting late. It would be better to continue tomorrow," said Katie.
"Katie's right, Scott," Tom said.
"All right, then let's go home now," Scott replied.
Then, they left Bert's house. Along the way, not much conversation happened. In the car, Katie kept
trying to remember where exactly she had seen the tattoo.
Not long after, the girl remembered that she had seen the tattoo at a hot spring event two years ago
when several packs who were under the High Court gathered and had fun there. Just as she was
walking towards the women's changing room, she coincidentally passed an unused room and heard
the voices of a woman and a man.
The voice of a woman who was asking about the tattoo that was drawn on the man's chest. And Katie
seemed to recognize the female and male voices. If her guess is correct then the woman's voice was
Fred's mother, while the man's voice is Mr. James.
But, Katie kept it in her mind. She wanted to make sure everything was right first, then she would
reveal the truth in front of her friends. But, how to uncover all the truth? Fred's mother had died of
cancer one year ago. Fred's father committed suicide in prison one year ago.
Katie was thinking hard about the right way to find out who the man's voice belonged to because Mr.
James is very mysterious and hard to approach. During that time, Katie had never spoken or come
face to face with him. It was rare for her to come to the headquarters of the High Court and meet the
leaders.
Scott, who watched the girl in the rearview mirror, was curious to know what his best friend was
thinking. Clearing his throat, the man asked, “Kat, what are you thinking? It seems very serious."
Katie, who was originally staring out the window, slowly turned her head and replied, “I was thinking
about the tattoo earlier. However, I haven't found the answer yet. Don't worry, I'll let you know as soon
as I get the answer."
“We know we can count on you. But, remember don't brave danger alone, you have us. We are all
brothers and sisters," Scott said.
"Thank you," Katie replied.
Then, the car driven by Scott arrived in front of his house. Tom and Katie scrambled out of the car, but
Scott remained in the driver's seat. Of course, this made them both wonder.
"Scott, why don't you come down?" asked Tom, surprised.
“I-I want to meet someone. Just a moment," he answered awkwardly.
"That someone is a girl?" Katie asked.
“Umm… yes, actually I was going to meet Lisa. I once promised her at the hospital to see her when I
had free time. I think this is the perfect time to meet her. Do you want me to buy you something for
dinner?” asked Scott.
Tom laughed loudly, but Katie had a different expression. The girl had feelings for Scott for a long time,
so when she heard about the man's plans to meet a girl he met and rescued from a cliff, it naturally
made her jealous and it was very clear from the look on her face.
Tom is aware and knows that Katie likes Scott, but Scott is not aware of it. The handsome man always
thought of Katie as a sibling, to be exact, a younger sister.
"There's no need to bring us food. Katie can cook for me. Use your time as best as you can, make her
fall in love with you ha ha ha," Tom replied.
Scott didn't answer, he just smiled as he looked at his two friends. Katie also pointed out the same
thing. The girl didn't say anything.
"Well, before it gets dark I think I should go now. See you tonight," Scott said as he started the car and
slowly drove away from Tom and Katie.
Scott's feelings were quite pounding considering it was his first time seeing a girl. Twenty-five years of
his life were spent helping his father expand his territory and run the family business.
The handsome man drove leisurely to Lisa's grandma's house. However, halfway through it occurred to
him to bring Lisa a bunch of red roses, He hoped the girl would like it.
Then, he stopped right in front of the flower shop. After turning off the car engine, he rushed into the
shop and looked at the fresh flowers displayed in the room. After deciding to keep buying red roses,
Scott ordered the shop owner to arrange the flowers beautifully and tie the bottom using a golden
ribbon.
After the flowers were finished and the handsome man was quite satisfied, he rushed out of the shop
and got back into his car. A smile crossed his lips. He felt happy even though he was nervous.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Arriving in front of Dorothy's house, Scott turned off the car engine and made sure he looked good that
day. Then, he took the bouquet of flowers that was located in the back passenger seat and got out of
his car.
He walked nervously onto Dorothy's front porch, his head filled with whatever conversation he had to
tell Lisa, considering it was the first day he'd come to a girl's house.
Scott's left hand held a bouquet of flowers, while his right hand pressed the doorbell. The bell was
pressed several times, but not a single sound came from inside. Until the fifth time the bell was
pressed, Lisa's voice answered from inside.
"Yes, wait a minute!" she said.
Not long after, the door opened. How surprised Lisa was to find Scott standing in the doorway of her
house.
"Scott?" she asked awkwardly.
"Good afternoon, am I disturbing you?" he asked awkwardly.
“Good afternoon, you are not intrusive at all. I didn't think you would keep your promise. Come on in,"
said Lisa. She motioned for Scott to sit in the living room.
"Um, Lisa. This flower is for you. Sorry if it's not suitable you," Scott said.
“Oh my, this flower is very beautiful and looks fresh. Thank you, Scott."
"You're welcome."
That afternoon, it seemed that Lisa was alone in the house. Scott saw neither his father nor his
younger brother nor Dorothy. The television is on in the living room, some snacks are on the table.
While observing the situation inside Lisa's house, the girl suddenly called out, "Scott?"
Scott turned his head, stared intently at Lisa's face then replied, “Sorry, I was just daydreaming. Are
you alone at home?”
"Yes, I am alone. My father has returned to Manhattan. Grandma and Sean are shopping at the
supermarket. What a coincidence that you came, so I'm not alone," she answered. A smile grew on her
lips. Scott was mesmerized by the girl's natural beauty.
Lisa has natural beauty, no makeup at all and she charmed Scott that afternoon. Her charming smile
and warm eyes were perfect.
"Oh yeah, do you want a drink?" Lisa asked.
"No, thank you. Umm, Lisa," Scott said.
"Yes? What do you want to say?” Lisa asked curiously.
