His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 671

Casper shut his eyes for a moment. Seriously, the nerve of this woman to bring up Rory right now was beyond belief. Time and again, he'd given her a pass, all because of Rory, who's no longer with us.

And what did she do with that kindness? Snapped those incriminating photos in his bed, spun baseless stories to wreck his reputation, hoping to see his life fall apart. And now, to go so far as to snatch his child-unforgivable.

If he kept letting this slide, he wouldn't be much of a man. "Fiona, Rory loving you was the biggest blunder of his life."

"Casper," Fiona said, trembling as if she knew what was coming. She was a wreck of tears. "I've got Dylan to think about. If I'm gone, what's gonna happen to him? He's just ten! Remember how he saved your son once? Please, have mercy."

"You remember you have a kid, huh?" Casper shot back, kicking her aside with disdain. "He's such a good kid, so kind. Do you really deserve to be his mom?"

"I know I messed up, but I can change. Just give me another shot. I promise I won't screw up again," Fiona begged, tears streaming down her face.

Her pleas fell on deaf ears. Casper felt nothing. He'd done all he could, but she was hell-bent on her own downfall.

"Dillon," Casper nodded towards a nearby box, "give her the shot."

This was no ordinary injection. It wasn't like the one for Zach, which caused paralysis and dementia. No, this one would make Fiona age rapidly and her brain deteriorate.

Fiona had no clue what the injection would do, yet her whole body recoiled at the thought. "Don't do this, Casper. You're betraying Rory, being ungrateful..."

But she had no choice in the matter.

Dillon pulled out the syringe, filled to the brim. With this, Fiona would be sent off to a special facility for research. This was her end.

"Please, don't come closer, Casper. Spare me. I won't do anything bad again. Think of our school days, I beg you..."

Fiona slumped to the ground, retreating until she couldn't

anymore, and the needle pierced her

deeply. Soon enough the

drug kicked in, and she blacked out.

"Mr. Casper, Fiona's been taken care of. But what about her kid?" Dillon asked. The boy would be left all alone.

The kid was a good one. Casper had plans for him. "Send Zach to Tristan. Fiona goes where she needs to. As for Dylan... he'll go where he should."noveldrama

A charity home. Casper donated enough to support Dylan until he became an adult. If Dylan didn't want to go there, he could stay with his grandma, or maybe even find his real dad.

Everyone has to face the music for their wrongdoings. Fiona's price was missing out on seeing her son grow up.

With everything wrapped up, the night crept towards dawn. Dillon drove Casper back. Through the rearview mirror, he saw Casper, drained, leaning against the Seat, eyes filled with a mix of emotions.

"Mr. Casper, thinking about Rory? Worried he might hold it against you?"

Casper didn't deny it. Rory was more than a brother to him. If Rory were still around, they'd probably be the best partners Falconridge had ever seen.

Maybe their bond could've grown even stronger in time. But that future was gone.

Rory had made him promise to look after Fiona, gripping his hand tightly before he passed. And now, Casper had taken care of Fiona in his own way.

His face was clouded with regret as he closed his eyes, rubbing his temples. "You think Rory would hold it against me?"

"Did Rory ever strike you as the kind to not know right from wrong?"

Of course not. But Rory was gone. Casper couldn't explain himself anymore, nor would Rory be there to listen to his troubles ever again.
