However, he did not expect that Margaret and her were classmates.
"I received an invitation from the host to come to the party, but I didn't expect to not know anyone here.
Would you guys mind if I joined you later?" Suanne asked politely.
Charleston lowered his head and looked at Margaret.
"If the little one was not used to this environment, wouldn't it be better to have an old classmate
around?" Charleston thought to himself.
Thus, Charleston nodded and said, "Okay."
Margaret put a piece of honeydew into her mouth. A trace of sneer was on the corners of her lips.
As expected, men would always have a change in heart.
Emilia was just here not too long ago, and now Suanne was here to take her place.
Margaret was very glad that she was not moved by Charleston.
Charleston might like her a little at that moment, but it was only because no one had dared to disobey
him for a long time since he was such a powerful individual. When a woman appeared suddenly and
did the exact opposite of what he was used to, of course he would feel refreshed.
If she really fell in love with Charleston, she was doomed to be abandoned.
The walls around her heart suddenly toughened up.
A melodious music started playing slowly.
"It seems that the banquet is about to begin." Suanne stood up with a smile.
The three of them went outside together. They had to go through a long stairwell to reach the dance
floor.
Margaret accepted her fate. She decided that she would leave after dancing for the opening ceremony.
This way, Charleston should be willing to let her go.
Margaret walked down the stairs cautiously in her high heels.
When there were only three steps left, Margaret suddenly felt as if someone had stepped on the hem of
her dress.
She then fell butt-first on the ground.
Her foot twisted and she had sprained her ankle.
"Hiss-"
Margaret gasped.
Charleston's expression immediately changed as he held her sprained ankle.
"Does it hurt?"
"Don't move it. It hurts so much-" Margaret said, frowning.
Charleston noticed that her ankle had started swelling up. His heart ached for her.
"It's so swollen that I can't even walk." Margaret murmured.
Naturally, she could not dance if she could not walk.
Charleston questioned her in a slightly angry tone, "Did you sprain your ankle on purpose so you didn't
have to go to the dance?"
Margaret sneered, "I have no tendency to self-harm. Someone stepped on my dress as I was walking
down the stairs." Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Suanne had been walking behind her just now.
"I was very careful when I was walking. I didn't lay a hand on Margaret." Suanne's eyes looked
incomparably sincere.
"Are you sure?" Margaret narrowed her eyes. "Would you like to watch the CCTV footage? I..."
"Enough!" Charleston said, interrupting her. He grabbed her chin with his slender hand and asked, "You
just don't want to go to the dance, right? Why must you lie and blame others?"
"You don't believe me?"
Charleston said nothing. He just lifted her up with his arms.
"What are you doing-" Margaret struggled.
"Don't move. I'll take you back and get you some medicine!"
"I don't need your pretentious kindness!" Margaret was infuriated by what he said earlier. "Yes, I hurt
myself on purposes because I just didn't want to be at the dance. Are you happy now?"
"Margaret, you shouldn't do that. Do you know how many girls are dying to dance with Mr. Limbaugh?"
Suanne sighed.
"Oh, I didn't expect Mr. Limbaugh to be such a popular item on the market. What's worse, it's the item
that I dislike the most." Margaret said proudly.
Suanne widened her eyes in surprise.
Obviously, she did not expect that Margaret would say that about Charleston.
Charleston's face turned grim. In his heart, he wanted to strangle this little one to death.
However, when he thought of her wound...
Charleston could only set her down on the sofa nearby.
As this was a luxurious cruise ship, there were sofas for guests to rest on every few steps.
