Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 1004

The

gap

in power was far too wide, and Bassan began to tremble.

He howled, "Why does it have to be me? There are other cultivators here too, like those two! They're plenty powerful!"

Bassan pointed at Wilbur and Ryder in a panic, trying to divert Rinchen's attention.

Rinchen remained calm as ever. "Aside from cultivating my own power, I need people from my tribe to rejuvenate my dry, aged body. The blood of others will not work. Don't worry, though. I'll kill everyone else here as well and drain every last cultivator of their power. You'll have company in the afterlife."

"How could you be so cruel, doing this to your own descendant?" Bassan howled.

Rinchen continued to stroll over. "It is your honor to be able to contribute to the rebirth of your ancestor. You should be honored."

"Like hell I am!" Bassan cursed.

All of a sudden, Bassan tossed his son towards Rinchen before turning to leave

once more.

The rest of the tribe was at a loss for words.

Even Ryder looked shocked.

Bassan had just given up his son as a sacrifice to save himself.

Wilbur was the only one not surprised by this.

He had known that something felt off from the moment Bassan picked his son up and refused to let go.

What Bassan was expected to do was let his son go and hold Rinchen down until he escaped.

However, that was not the case. Bassan had sacrificed his own son to buy himself more time to flee.

That was his flesh and blood, who was also Rinchen's descendant.

Goma was also a cultivator. As long as Rinchen paused in the slightest, Bassan would have the chance to escape and disappear.

It was evident that a human being could let go of anything when their life was threatened.

Wilbur sighed once more.

Bassan's plan was a clever one.

He was sacrificing his son for the slightest chance of survival.

How weak humanity was, unable to withstand the slightest of challenges.

Goma's face was drained of all color.

He could not believe what his father had just done.

"What are you doing, Dad?" Goma was sent flying towards Rinchen against his will, shouting in terror and shock at his father.

However, Bassan had already taken off without paying his son any mind.

Rinchen did not hesitate. He crushed Goma's body with a single blow, letting his blood spray and paint his body.

The next second, he dashed up to Bassan and stopped him once more.

Bassan jerked to a halt, glowering viciously at Rinchen.

Rinchen's tone was still devoid of emotion. "There's no use struggling, you know. Just accept your fate. It was destined the moment I fell into that deep slumber."

"Go to hell!" Bassan roared, throwing a punch at Rinchen.

A cloud of dust kicked up from the ground.

The power of Bassan's blow made the onlookers' chest lurch, from where they were a good few dozen meters away.noveldrama

The explosion even deafened several people.

They clutched their ears in agony, crouching on the ground.

The next second, however, Rinchen sent forth a punch of his own to meet Bassan's.

There was a thunderous collision.

Bassan's body was sent flying, spinning in the air several times before landing next to Wilbur.

Chest heaving, Bassan grabbed Wilbur and Ryder in each hand as he shouted, "Get him, or I'll kill you two first!"

Bassan had activated his domain. It was definitely pretty powerful.

Ryder was stuck in his grasp, unable to free himself.
