Love's Rebirth Another Chance at Forever (Madeline and Andrew)

Love’ss 30

Andrew took Madelyn straight upstairs and helped her shower before putting her on the bed.

Just then, his phone vibrated.

Madelyn peered muzzily at him and saw his expression change. slightly when he glanced at the number.

He took the phone out to the balcony.

Very soon, she heard Andrew's voice from outside. His tone was deep and dangerous, and it was in complete contrast to his passion from a few minutes ago. "Deal with it, no matter what the price is!"

Madelyn heard him raging, and she became slightly more awake. She glanced outside, wondering who had made him that angry.

However, the balcony doors were closed, and she could not hear anything else.

Very soon, Andrew ended the call and came in. Madelyn had been fast asleep, but she was now sitting on the bed, looking groggy.

"Why are you awake?" Andrew's expression stiffened for a second before he relaxed and went to sit next to her.

Madelyn sniffed. "Who called?"

Andrew was startled. He hadn't expected her to ask.

After all, in the past, she had never asked anything about who was calling him. Hearing her ask him that question so seriously, he smiled. and caressed her face fondly. "It was just something about work." "Oh." Madelyn really was tired. After hearing Andrew say that it was about work, she turned and burrowed into the quilt once more. Before long, she was fast asleep.

Andrew looked down at her slender figure and how calm her expression was. There was a flash of menace in his eyes.

He bent down to kiss her forehead before getting up to go to the study.

The next morning, Madelyn woke up from hunger. Andrew wasn't beside her. She reached out to touch the space where he had been and realized that it was already cold Had he left early in the morning, or had he been out all night?

She got up and washed up as fast as possible before going downstairs. When she saw David, she asked, "Did he go out last night?

"Are you asking about Mr. Miller? He didn't go out last night."

He hadn't gone out? Where was he, then?

"Mr. Miller is still at home." David looked at Madelyn in surprise.

Madelyn's eyelid twitched.

She turned and headed for the study upstairs. When she opened the door, she saw that Andrew appeared to be in the midst of a video

conference.

When he saw her come in, he said urgently to those on the video call, Start the search at once. That'll be all."

He ended the video conference at once.

Madelyn ran over to him and sat on his lap.

Andrew stiffened for a moment before putting his hands around her waist so that he wouldn't fall. "You're up early." Madelyn looked at his expression. He had stubble on his face, which made him look rather haggard and tired. Madelyn reached out to touch him and asked in displeasure, "Did you spend the entire night having meetings?" "What's the matter? Didn't you sleep well without me?"

"Don't you care about your health?" Madelyn was annoyed to hear that he hadn't slept all night.

No matter how important work was, could it really be such an urgent matter? Did it have to be dealt with in the middle of the night?

Andrew kissed her when he saw that she was worried about him.

Madelyn struggled to put distance between them. "Don't even try to gloss over it. You're not allowed to go to the office today."

"That won't do. I've got an important meeting today."

Madelyn was even angrier. She knew that he was a workaholic, but she hadn't expected it to be this bad! She put her arms around his neck and held him tightly. "No!" she said firmly.

There was a darkness in Andrew's eyes. When he saw that she remained firm, he asked, "Shall I take you to the office with me?"

"No!"

"The meeting is only for an hour."

"No!"

No matter what Andrew said, Madelyn persisted in shaking her head. She would not allow Andrew to go to the office after he had worked all night.

Andrew had no choice but to have breakfast and rest while she
