Chapter 765 She Would Be Nothing
Faye had always hated vacillation, so she directly spoke to stop Amelia from saying anything else.
As Faye finished her words, the office reached a deadlock.
After a while, Amelia gritted her teeth and said, "You're bossy."
Faye admitted frankly, "If you think so, I won't deny."
Amelia was furious with Faye's words. She took a deep breath to suppress her anger and said, "I don't
agree."
Faye looked at her coldly and said, "I'm just notifying you, not asking for your consent."
After Faye finished speaking, her gaze shifted from Amelia to the agent behind her. "Take her out.
Apology or termination? Just tell Galen your choice later."
The agent felt a chill and stuttered, "Ok, Ms. Nash."
Then the agent came forward to pull Amelia.
Amelia struggled unhappily and said, "I haven't finished speaking yet. Why are you pulling me? I..."
Before Amelia could finish speaking, the agent had already pulled her out of the public relations
department forcibly.
When the two of them got on the elevator, Amelia lost her temper and kicked her agent in the calf.
"Why did you pull me?"
"How could she do that? Without Mr. Farrell's support, she was just a nobody in this circle."
Hearing Amelia's curse, the agent remained silent.
After a while, Amelia suddenly stopped cursing and looked at her agent with crossing her arms over
her chest. "Do you know Mr. Farrell's recent itinerary?"
The agent was greatly frightened by her question and asked, "What do you want to do?"
Amelia said, "None of your business."
Then she snorted, "Go find someone to check Mr. Farrell's itinerary."
The agent persuaded, "Amelia, don't..."
As the agent spoke, he caught a cold glance from Amelia and then bit back the words.
In the office, after Amelia left, Galen said, "I think Amelia will still make waves."
Faye said, "Keep an eye on her."
Galen nodded and said, "Got it."
After a busy day, Faye received a call from Rebecca when it was time to get off work.
The two of them arranged to have dinner together, and Faye went downstairs and was going to drive to
pick up Rebecca.
In the elevator, Faye sent a message to Colin on Instagram. [I'll eat out with Rebecca tonight, so I won't
go back.]
Colin replied after a few minutes. [Can't I go with you?]
Faye: [Probably... No.]
After Faye sent out the message, Colin replied with a loudly crying emoji.
She looked at the phone screen and smiled.
An hour later, Faye picked up Rebecca, who was very hungry.
Rebecca said, "Faye, there you are."
Faye said smilingly while turning the steering wheel, "I'll take you to have a big meal. What do you want
to eat?"
Rebecca answered, "Eat whatever is expensive."
Faye agreed, "Okay."
Half an hour later, Faye parked her car at the entrance of Taste Elements.
Seeing them entering the door, a waiter immediately welcomed them.
Faye told the waiter that she had made a reservation, and then the waiter made a gesture to lead
them.
After a while, they arrived at a private box and the waiter gave the menu to Faye.
Faye took it and directly handed it to Rebecca.
Rebecca happily opened the menu, and upon seeing the prices, she was stunned.
Seeing that Rebecca had no idea to order which dishes either, , Faye reached out to take the menu
from Rebecca's hand and handed it back to the waiter. Then Faye said, "Just serve a few signature
dishes enough for us two to eat."
The waiter said, "Okay." Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Then the waiter left with the menu.
When Rebecca was about to say something to Faye, Faye asked, "Do you know what's going on with
the Carter Group?"
When it came to the Carter Group, Rebecca's expression was a bit unnatural. "I didn't ask."
Faye stood up and picked up the pot on the table to pour tea for Rebecca. "Why don't you ask?"
Rebecca replied, "How could I ask about such a thing? You don't know. Camila and Abbot both live in
my small apartment now. So pitiful! If I ask, what if Abbot feels unwanted?"
Faye pressed her lips slightly while pouringher tea. When the teacup was almost full, she put down the
pot and pushed the teacup toward Rebecca.
Rebecca picked up the teacup and took a sip before suddenly realizing something. She looked at Faye
and asked, "Are you hiding something from me?"
Faye chuckled and sat down. "Let's eat first."
Rebecca put down the teacup in her hand and sat up straight. "Is this meal a conspiracy today?"
Faye said, "Don't worry. No conspiracy but a confession."
Rebecca thought for a moment and asked, "Confess what?"
Faye didn't answer, but Rebecca kept staring at her, biting the tip of the chopsticks. "I'm suspicious of
you. Did you do something wrong behind my back?"
Faye admitted candidly, "Yes. Finish the meal first and then I tell you."
Seeing Faye insisting on discussing after dinner, Rebecca began to eat and said, "It's okay. Don't
waste money."
Halfway through the meal, Faye used her phone to send a message to Colin. [I'm ready to confess to
Rebecca.]
Colin: [?]
Faye: [I didn't say it before because I was afraid of hindering Abbot's plan. I knew what was more
important at that time. But if I still don't tell Rebecca now, I feel sorry for her.]
Colin: [Baby, can you give the opportunity of confession to Abbot?]
Faye replied simply: [Yes.]
After dinner, Faye didn't tell her the truth on purpose but just had a casual chat with Rebecca.
Rebecca said, "I can tell that not only did you do something wrong to me, but it was also a big deal."
Faye and Rebecca had been close friends for many years, and Faye felt guilty at this time.
Rebecca's words fell. When she saw that Faye was still silent, she took Faye's hand, saying seriously,
"Tell me, it's okay. I have a strong mind, and I can withstand it."
Faye lowered her eyes and asked, "Are you sure?"
Rebecca was inexplicably flustered when asked by Faye. "I suddenly felt a bit unsure."
After Rebecca finished speaking, Faye sighed lightly and was about to confess something when the
door was pushed open from outside.
Bang!
Rebecca and Faye turned their heads together at the sound.
It was Abbot standing at the door with a flushed face, his suit and coat untidy. He held a ring box in his
hand.
Seeing Rebecca, Abbot didn't even enter the room and directly dropped to both knees at the door.
Rebecca saw this and quickly stood up. "What are you doing?"
Abbot took a deep breath, opened the ring box, and spoke hoarsely, "Propose to you."
Rebecca asked, "Have you ever seen anyone kneel on both knees to propose?"
Abbot said, "Kneeling on the left leg is for proposing, and the right one is for apologizing."
Rebecca looked at Abbot and then turned to look at Faye. "Did you two make the same mistake?"
Faye nodded truthfully and said, "Yes."
Rebecca looked puzzled and asked, "Did you two make the mistake together?"
Faye answered, "No."
Abbot, kneeling on the ground, said, "Faye was only an accomplice, and she just did something
insignificant."
Upon hearing Abbot's words, Rebecca carefully thought for a while and only one possibility popped into
her mind. Then she asked, "Is it that you are not broke?"
Abbot looked up at Rebecca, getting butterflies in his stomach. He swallowed hard and said, "What if I
say yes?"
