Chapter 2238
Chapter 2238
Of course, Yesseca wanted to know the truth.
She was filled with questions from the moment Qiana was arrested and taken away and all that Tremaine had said.
But she returned to her senses after he said he would tell her if she married him.
It didn't matter whether she knew the truth.
Since they had already broken up, did she still need to learn of all that had happened in Nashaland?
Of course not!
Though curious, Yesseca still suppressed it.
She said coldly, "I don't want to know."
She glared at Tremaine, "You think I'd say yes because I want to know the truth? I'm telling you, I don't care!"
Tremaine was stumped.
He had only said so to lighten the mood seeing how furious she was, but little did he think she would be offended by it.
With that, he coaxed, "Yesseca, I was only teasing you. I will tell you everything whether you say yes.
Also, I never had any intentions of marrying Qiana. You're the reason for this wedding."
His words stumped her.
She was the reason?
What did he mean?
Looking at Tremain with a hint of mockery in her eyes, she said, "You don't think I still want to be with you, so you deliberately marry Qiana right in front of me to make sure I'll give up, do you? Don't you worry, Tremaine, I will never cling to that hope. All my feelings for you have died after leaving Nashaland! No need to be so full of yourself."
Yesseca's words cut deep into Tremaine's heart like a knife.
Pain spread all over his body.
She had said it all so effortlessly, even with sarcasm, but he knew she had only said so because he had hurt her too deeply.
"You're right; I am full of myself," Tremaine said, "I dreamed that you'd still have feelings for me, yet I don't dare to validate that delusion in front of you. So I came up with this, all to find out if I was right. I've already decided; if you no longer have feelings for me, I'll leave you alone, to never bother you again. But if you still have the slightest bit of love for me, I will do whatever it takes to win you over again, even if I have to throw my pride and dignity away."
Stumped, Yesseca turned frustrated.
What was Tremaine trying to say?
He thought she still had feelings for him?
"You really are full of yourself to believe I'd still have feelings for you!" Yesseca exclaimed, "I'll say this again. My feelings for you, Tremaine Quartley, have died after leaving Nashaland!"
She then turned to Matthew. "Matthew, I don't know your reason for helping him, but I don't want you to do it again. I already said when I came back. I will never go back to him ever again!"
With that, Yesseca left, not caring what Matthew had to say.
"Yesseca, I have all the answers to Montez now!" Tremaine's voice came from behind her. She covered her ears only for it to be a fruitless attempt. His voice continued to travel to her ears.
"It was Qiana; she had set you up. She was the one who poisoned the broth. Also, she's not Montez's birth mother; they have no blood relation at all."
Yesseca was shocked!
Tremaine's words shook her to the very core.
She stopped in her tracks, looking over her shoulder at Tremaine. "Qiana's not Montez's mother?" "She's not." Seeing Yesseca's reaction, bits of hope filled Tremaine as he made his way to her. "I've done a DNA paternity test and confirmed she isn't Montez's mother. I was a fool to have always believed she was. That's why I've mistaken. That's why I've doubted you."
Yesseca didn't know how to process the piece of news, her head buzzing.
Qiana wasn't Montez's mother?!
That was too appalling!
She had thought it was very peculiar when the broth she gave Montez was poisoned. She had even defended Qiana, thinking no mother would
harm their child, when Preslie suspected it was her doing
But now...
So that was it!
The odds were now all justified. Qiana wasn't Montez's birth mother after all!
After recovering from the shock, Yesseca sneered again.
So what if she wasn't!
None of it had anything to do with her anymore!
All that had happened in Nashaland had nothing to do with her anymore the moment she left.
She looked coldly at Tremaine andBelonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

said, "Then I hope you'll be able to find his mother soon. Don't let Montez pay for your foolishness- anymore!" However, Tremaine declared, "I am a fool, Yesseca. But I won't look for her anymore. You'll be his mother."
He had thought of finding Montez's birth mother after confirming Qiana's actual relationship with Montez.
However, he dismissed the notion in two shakes.
He won't find her anymore.
Yesseca would be his one and only, and Montez's mother could only be her.
Annoyance flashed across Yesseca's face, "Do whatever you want!"
With that, she turned to leave again.
"Yesseca, please forgive me!" Tremaine shouted behind her, trying his best.
Yesseca paused, looking back at him once more eventually.
She said, "I will never forgive you ever again, Tremaine. I have dignity and feelings as well, and you have trampled my dignity under your feet while your distrust and cruelty have wiped out all my feelings for you. Do you think I'll forgive you just because you apologized and told me this was all a mistake?"
"Impossible! I'm a human, not a God! No way I'll forgive you!"
With that, she turned and walked away. This time, she didn't look back no matter what.
Meanwhile, stupefied, Tremaine stood statued, his mind numb, feeling nothing but pain all across his body.
Leaving the hotel, Yesseca felt a lump on her throat.
Whereafter, tears streamed down her cheeks before she knew it.
She immediately rubbed her eyes hard.
What was wrong with her?!
How could she be crying?!
He had clearly become her past!
But why would seeing him, hearing his words cause her to react so strongly?!
Yesseca pinched her thigh hard, reminding herself not to be swayed by his words, never forgive him.
That man had scarred her deeply. Since she had decided to make a clean break, he would be nothing but a stranger to her!
