Chapter 404 Won’t Let You Lose

“Ms. Longfellow, we can go now.”

Marco appeared with a briefcase and interrupted Nigel.

“Let’s go.” Janet walked out of the building first.

Nigel opened his mouth helplessly. He had no choice but to follow.

They drove to the outskirts of the city to inspect the site where the racing club

would be built in the future.

After they arrived, they saw the workers and grab excavators to fix the field.

Janet and others came

to a simple observation deck on higher ground. The person in charge of the site project had already be

en notified by Marco and was waiting here in advance.

“Hello Ms. Longfellow, just call me Joseph.”

Janet shook hands with Joseph and nodded politely.

Marco handed the iPad to Janet. Janet took the documents about the plans and procedures for the ave

nue and handed the iPad to Nigel.

“The area in front of us will be a racing exhibition area. The most popular new racing cars will be exhibit

ed here every season.”

“The west is close to the water. A resting area with fountains will be there. There will

also be KTV and SPA for relaxing purposes.

“The northeastern part is relatively flat, which is more suitable for building a

track…”

Joseph introduced the specific plan of the venues to Nigel one by one in detail. Nigel nodded frequently

and occasionally expressed his opinions.

“No problem. The plan is clear and reasonable. It will be easy to publicize it.”

“Let’s go and have a look at the track.” Janet returned the iPad to Marco.

The place was under construction, so it was a little difficult for Janet to walk

around in her high heels.

“Be careful.”

Nigel held Janet’s elbow, gentle and powerful. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

The field in the northeast was very large. Marco had someone arrange a sightseeing car to wait near th

e track field in advance.

Before getting into the car, Nigel called to stop Janet.

Janet turned her head. A masculine, yet alluring scent of eau de toilette.

permeated her nose.

Nigel held a helmet and put it on Janet’s head with his own hands.

He gently fastened the hamlet. In his charming eyes, Janet’s face could be seen. “This is a construction

site. Be careful.”

Janet pursed her lower lip, waved off Nigel’s hand, and tidied up the helmet by

herself.

“Let’s go.”

She boarded the sightseeing car first.

Nigel reached his hands into the air and followed her into the car.

The trees near the site had been cleared. The whole area could be seen clearly.

Nigel rubbed his chin with his fingers, trying to impress Janet with his own

ideas.

“Although this site is flat enough, the area is not big enough. I think we

should focus on the elite clients and win the most worthy clients in the limited

conditions.”

For a venue with a limited area, Nigel’s opinion undoubtedly had the highest pay–to–

return ratio, but Janet didn’t answer. She just pointed in a direction.

Marco turned the steering wheel following Janet’s instruction. The

sightseeing car passed through the site and arrived at the foot of the mountain on the northern edge.

Nigel followed Janet out of the car, took Janet’s bag very smoothly, and naturally carried it on his shoul

der.

He did it so naturally that it was as if he had done it hundreds of times.

Janet glanced at him, but said nothing.

Marco had always been responsible for carrying the bag for Janet, but now he

was free and stood quietly behind the two of them.

“What are you doing here? Is there any treasure on this small slope?”

Seeing Janet looking hopefully at the top of the mountain, Nigel teased her.

Janet mocked Nigel’s ignorance, “This little slope is a treasure,”

Nigel wrapped his arms around. When he lifted his feet, the under his feet were instantly crushed.

He looked at the small slope in front of him curiously, but he couldn’t see how

precious it was.

“The slope of the mountain here is moderate. And the side area is big enough. It fully meets the require

ments of the mountain rally.”

Janet took a deep breath, and the breeze filled the nostrils with the smell of green

grass, which made her feel refreshed.

Nigel silently gave Janet a thumbs up.

This small hill was thought to be useless. It was seen as a waste bounded with the field. Unexpectedly,

Janet could make it so useful.

“Besides, the terrain here is high enough. Snow can be kept here in winter. It can even be used to imita

te snow mountains. It can totally attract professional

racers.”

Nigel was surprised and delighted, as if he had seen the majestic alpine track rising from the ground.

When they discussed the project before, Janet once said racing was a field with high standards and the

target clients were limited, so Nigel naturally thought

the target clients would be people from the upper circle.

And this client group brought the least danger.

But he was still too narrow–

minded. He didn’t expect that racing could be a game not only for noble people, but also for profession

al players.

He turned his head to look at Janet. She was standing with her arms crossed. She was standing at the

foot of the mountain, but her confident appearance made it seem like she was on the top.

A proud and arrogant expression appeared on Janet’s clean and beautiful face. She looked so shiny th

at people couldn’t help but have a desire to bow to her.

Janet would always come up with safe and

wonderful ideas no matter in which field and no matter whether she was experienced in it or not.

Nigel couldn’t help being fascinated by Jill, “Jill, you are really an ambitious

woman.”

“I have to be the best no matter in what field. Or, it’s boring.”

Janet’s voice wasn’t loud, but she sounded decisive enough,

Nigel looked at Janet absent–mindedly, as if he saw the hacker “X” who beat

all the hackers in the world.

She was confident and strong. He couldn’t forget about her after they met for the first time. And when th

ey met for the second time, he fell in love with her.

“Well, no matter what you want to do, I will support you unconditionally.”

Nigel’s handsome face was full of affection.

But Nigel’s true confession sounded a bit childish to Janet.

She was in a good mood and teased casually, “No matter what I

“Then you’re willing to be my accomplice when I rob a bank?”

“Of course! I’ll keep an eye out for the police. If you’re caught, I’ll go to jail for

you!”

Nigel responded half–jokingly and half–

seriously, “Jill, you can rely on me as long as I can help you, whether it’s career or life.”

“I’m not Donahueiel. I won’t let you lose.”

Janet’s heart trembled. Donahueiel made her lose terribly once. She wouldn’t

fall in love with another man easily like a fool again.

“Your promise sounds beautiful,” Janet’s voice suddenly turned cold, “Unfortunately, I don’t need it.

“I will get what I want on my own, without relying on any man.

Nigel took a step forward unwillingly and tried hard to fight for the opportunity for himself.

“I know you have always been independent, but just keep me by your side. I can at least keep those sui

tors with bad intentions from you.”

Nigel thought of the time when he helped Janet to piss off Donahueiel. That was his happiest time sinc

e he was closest to Janet.

He lowered his voice, “Like last time, let me pretend to be your boyfriend. Just let me stay by your side.

Janet shook her head, looking calm and aloof,

“That kind of game is so naive, I don’t want to play it anymore.”
