My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2203

He did not know why they called him a child of the devil, though.

Malvol's coughing interrupted his thoughts.

"Hmph, don't drag me down," Arlo sneered.

"You idiot, do you think everyone has the Curse of Immortality like you?"

"You seem like you could use it," Arlo taunted.

Malvol said nothing and continued flying forward.

The Curse of Immortality-the same one that resided within Sterling and Xenith-was also within Arlo. This power did not originate from any person but from a god of a distant land.

Xenith, also known as Renith, was once nothing more than a pet of this god. When he slipped out of the divine realm, he immediately became a demon king who commanded his territory. As punishment, the god cast him into hell, where he encountered Ruin and Zirconia.

After the three of them explained their situations, they realized they shared the same pain and made a deal in that hellish place. Each of them got what they wanted-Zirconia obtained the seven seeds and three souls cursed with immortality while the Undying God gained intelligence on Renith, which was a chance for him to redeem himself.

The rest of the story was as known-the Judges joined forces to kill Renith, but the order to do so did not come from the three elders at that time. Instead, it came from the reincarnation of that god.

In the Lewis residence, just as the elderly couple was preparing to face their death with dignity, Nash returned and set up another protective formation, saving both Harrison and Lauren.

"Nash?" Harrison called out with uncertainty. The person who stood before them was not the Nash they knew, but a fierce, monstrous

version of him. Yet, he did not harm them.

Nash did not respond to them. Instead, he flew back up into the sky, reaching a height of a hundred meters. This time, his target was Central District.

As Nash flew toward Central District, Arlo prepared to pursue him. However, a strange force suddenly caught his attention, causing

hesitate. Malvol, unconcerned with this distraction, continued chasing after Nash.

Standing before Arlo were none other than the mink demon, Harkin, and Thresmund.

"Hmph, a big shot, I see," Arlo remarked.

"Call me Lady Harkin!" Harkin snapped back.

In the West Territory, the scene of Diloth devouring everything did not unfold as expected. His attack was blocked by a burly man clad in a fur coat. Diloth eyed the man warily, surprised that someone could resist his deadly strike.

"Who are you?!" Diloth demanded.

The burly man paid no heed to Diloth's question. Instead, he turned to check on the injuries of two others nearby.

"Are you both alright?" the man asked.

"Thank you for saving us, hero. We're fine, more or less," one of them responded.

"That's good to hear. Now..." the burly man began, shifting his focus back to Diloth. He was ready for the next confrontation.
