Khloe’s brow slightly furrowed as she took the invitation. She opened it and found it was from Senator Ashton Douglas.

This was the real big shot.

Ashton was the upcoming presidential candidate, highly regarded by the public. Additionally, with his extensive experience as a senator, he had the power to vote on new members joining Congress, making him a significant and influential figure. After Henrik removed Bain from Congress, it was clear he intended to replace him with someone loyal. To ensure the success of his chosen candidate, however, winning Ashton’s support was essential.

Khloe glanced at the invitation, her mind working in overdrive. She understood the gravity of Henrik’s strategy, which was tied to the aftermath of Celeste’s incident. To help Henrik gain Ashton’s trust, she knew she had to give her best at the banquet.

After weighing her options, Khloe turned to Fiona. “Fiona, get the car ready. I need to head to Star Mall to pick out a dress for tomorrow’s banquet.”

With the banquet set for the next day, it was impossible to have a dress tailored in time. Her only option was to head to Star Mall, a high-end shopping center, and buy one off the rack.

After breakfast, Khloe didn’t waste a moment. The driver parked at the mall, and Gloria accompanied her straight to Victory, an upscale boutique known for its luxury dresses.

Gloria stayed close as they entered Victory. The boutique exuded luxury, with shimmering lights highlighting a stunning array of dresses, each more dazzling than the last.
