Rejected His Miracle Luna (Dorothy and Ignatius)

Chapter 120

Chapter 120

-Dorothy-

The vampire’s next attack was directed at the Stonespoke pack, a small community of shifters just

north of Befile territory. If the attack on Belile had simply been a diversion, then I didn’t want to consider

just how many vampires were waiting for us at Stonespoke

The shifters I had healed turned the battle for Belile back in our favor, and Ignatius and the others had

cleared out every vampire before morning I hadn’t been aware of it at the time, but the vampire 1 had

murdered was one of the last to fall.

After Ignatius had pulled me out of the burning house, he made preparations to send me back home.

But I had been adamant on not leaving the battle. It was Angie who eventually got him to relent,

pointing out that our victory wouldn’t have been possible were it not for my healing abilities.

Ignatius looked shell-shocked at the prospect of nearly losing me to a maring fire and a ravenous

vampire. He made me promise to stay close, and to run for the forest if the battle took a turn for the

worst

“I promise” had tried to smile, but couldn’t quite manage it.

There were too many thoughts swirling in my mind, too many questions. Had Ignatius discovered the

truth before I did? Did he know it was vampires that murdered my pack? Did the Bielke have something

to do with it!

I stared at the back of his head as we trekked through the forest, willing myself to give him the benefit

of the doubt. I wanted to believe that he wouldn’t hide this from me, not after everything we’d been

through. But still there was that gut-wrenching: ache in my chest

I dropped my eyes to the ground and kept walking

-Fae-

By the time we made it to Stonespoke we were already exhausted. The Belile battle had taken a toll on

the Bielke soldie and yet we had to keep fighting. There would be no giving up until every vampire was

chased from our land or buried beneath in

I took one look at the scene before me, at the roaring fires and monsters emerging from the forest and

paused. Daybreak was still a few hours away, and I found myself longing for an escape from this stifling

battlefield.

Angie stopped beside me, lacing her fingers with mine. “I’m here. I’ve always got your back.”

The battle was brutal and we lost track of nearly everyone in the choos, But through it all, Angie stayed

by my side. Together we saved dozens of fleeing shifters, all Stonespoke members who had been

caught usware by the vampire attack

As we fought, I caught a glimpse of a familiar figure among the writhing bodies, and my heart froze in

my chest.

The vampire, the same one that had grappled with Angie and 1 during the secret gathering, was staring

straight at us, I stared into deep black eyes, and followed his gaze. His attention was fixed on Angie,

and he wore the same hungry snarl that he had the first time we confronted him.

Shoving a bleeding vampire off of me, I reach over to grip Angie’s arm. That vamp, over there. He’s the

same one from

before

ANgie looked up at where I was pointing, her expression turning a grimace when he began to make his

way towards us cutting down everyone in his path. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

I gripped Angie tighter, digging my claws into her skin. “You need to go. Now, I don’t know why, but he

wants you.”

No Angie resisted my tugging, kx king eyes with the approaching vampire. “We’ll take him down this

time. We have to

“Now is not the time to be stubborn!” I yelled, but I knew my words would do no good. When Angie set

her mind to

something, she couldn’t be convinced to sway H why I wanted to throttle her on occasion

her decision. It was one of the reasons I loved her as much as I did. It was abo

Angie smashed her gauntlets together, remnants of the iron armor we had used to battle the Tally, Most

of our soldiers these days chose to stick with their standard gear, knives and blades that wouldn’t get

lost whether in wolf form or walking upright.

But Angie had taken a liking to the bulky, spiked gloves, and she wielded them with all the ferocity of a

caged tiger. I gripped. my twin blades and bared my fangs, following my headstrong mate as she

moved to meet the approaching vampire.

The man came at us with full force, slamming his b*dy into Angie and pinning her to the ground. Those

razor sharp teeth. flashed as he tried to bite down on her neck, eyes flashing with a wild hunger that

shook me to the core.

1 brought my blades down on his hack, harpooning the man through the shoulders while Angie

punched upwards, smashing her wrecking-ball of a fist into his face.

The vampire roared and rolled away, on his feet again before either of us could blink. Unlike some of

the other vampires,. this one hasn’t felt the need to transform. He looked like a regular human being,

save for the evil insanity that glinted in his

eyes.

“Fight all you want little pets” His voice sounded unnatural on a battlefield, far too sophisticated to come

from the mouth of a man covered in his victims blood, “Soon Ill add both of you to my collection. How

would you like to be concubities of house Letha

“Not on my bucket list. I spot and poused mid-shin, halting the process halfway and snapping down on

the same hand that I Had bitten during our last encounter.

The vampire roared in anger as the bones his hand broke a second time and Angie delivered another

nahless punch to his abdomen. With my work done. I stepped back to watch my mate rain blows down

on the vampire like a hailstorm

Angie punctuated every sicker punch with a curse word while she turnedl the man to a bloody pulp. If

the situation ha been so dire. I might have been waving pom poms, cheering on my mate like a

freshman at a football game.

But there was a moment of hesitation between blow then the vampin nan took his chaner, and kicked

out at Angie, sending her flying backwards into an old buggy. The windscreen shattered and the alarm

went off, adding to the disjointe orchestra of batting bodies

In the blink of an eye, he was on me, jaws wide open to sink ho teeth into my flesh. I heard Angie’s

howl of alarm, and 1 lifted my blades to defend myself but the monster seemed to have sullenly lost

interest in me.

His eyes glazed over and he stood still, head cocked like he was listening for something. In a

completely unexpected twist of events, the vampire man didn’t even attempt to bite me. Instead, he

stepped away, arms hanging at his sides, and disappeared into the billowing smoke

Angie was at my side in an instant, shands of broken glass twinkling in her hair. “Are you alright?”

She looked me over, examining my neck for any teeth marks until I took her hands in my own and

folded them away, didn’t bite me. He just left.”

Angie squinted into the hazy fog, but the vampire was gone. She wiped sweat and blood from her

cheek, blowing out a breath as she puzzled over the vampire’s sudden exit

She leaned over, balancing her dirty palms on her knees and gave me a wry smile. “House Lethia,

huh?”

“He
