Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 55

Sabrina was so exceptionally beautiful that she turned heads wherever she went. Even Nelson, who was usually aloof, could not resist the urge to kiss her while they were in the car.

Pamela was truly unwilling to accept it.

If Nelson's heart belonged to "her", so be it. After all, he had spared no effort in finding that woman, his irreplaceable first love.

Pamela came to terms with the fact that she could not compare. But what right did Sabrina have?

She could not allow Sabrina to enter Nelson's heart. Pamela would rather Nelson find that woman than witness him forget her and choose Sabrina instead.

As soon as Sabrina returned to the office, Eva went to report about Amanda's situation.

"Today at noon, Mr. Smith made a statement on social media, declaring the termination of cooperation with Amanda's company."

Amanda was one of Sebastian's distributors.

His decision to terminate their partnership at this time could be seen as a tacit endorsement of Sabrina's remark, "Are you not aware of what you did?"

"What about Amanda?" Sabrina inquired.

"She has returned to Malma. After all, her company's clients caused a commotion," Eva answered.

"But I've sent someone to follow her. Now that she's at her wit's end, she'll definitely seek help from the mastermind."

Sabrina did not respond, lost in thought.

"By the way, Ms. Wyatt, it's not just our people who are following her. Two other groups are as well."

"Oh?"

"I've checked. They are Mr. Ingram's and Mr. Tucker's people."

Sabrina sighed.

"Got it. Something just crossed my mind. I need to head out for a bit."

Eva exclaimed, "But aren't you supposed to meet with Mr. Levine to discuss the pricing for Mr. Smith?"

"Tell Oliver that it doesn't matter if we don't always profit from the prices we give Sebastian. As long as we're profitable over the entire year, that's all that matters. I have faith in him so he can proceed confidently. Tell him to call me if there's an issue."

Having said that, Sabrina hurriedly left.

Once in the car, she called Abigail.

"Abby, where are you?"

"I'm at the doorstep of the Ingrams residence. I'm still considering how I should persuade Gerald."

Sabrina said, "I'll find someone else to handle Gerald's matter, but now I have something urgent. I need you to go to Malma for me."

After explaining everything to Abigail in detail, Sabrina did not return to the office. Instead, she headed back to the Wyatt manor.

Her mother, Cheryl, was making pan dulce in the kitchen with Michelle.

"Did you come back home because you smelt the food?" Cheryl asked gently.

"I just started preparing them. If you hadn't returned, I would have called you."

Sabrina affectionately leaned against Cheryl's shoulder. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

"I'll take care of things in the kitchen, Madam Jenkins. You should go keep Sabrina company."

With that, Michelle ushered them out of the kitchen.

Sabrina rested her head on Cheryl's shoulder as they snuggled on the couch.

"Dr. Wright said that being close to you is like having six therapy sessions. Shall we visit Grandma this weekend?"

"What's the matter? Did something upsetting happen?" Cheryl inquired.

Sabrina nodded in response. She was indeed frustrated with Nelson's current attitude.

He no longer discussed the divorce, and she had no immediate way to sign the papers. Sabrina did not want to be entangled like this.

"Do you want to tell me about it?" Cheryl suggested.

"It's just work stuff," Sabrina answered with a smile. She did not want to upset her mother.

She laid her head on Cheryl's lap in the afternoon, basking in the sunlight that streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and peacefully dozed off.

When she woke up, the pan dulce was ready.

The freshly baked pan dulce was served with butter and jam. Being accustomed to social gatherings, Sabrina longed for a bite.

Dinner was not yet over when Eva called.

"Ms. Wyatt, have you seen the news? I'm afraid the endorsement deal might not work out. It seems that Pamela is pregnant."
