Diana hadn't interacted much with Natalie before, so she didn't know what kind of person Natalie was.

Now, upon their first encounter, Natalie bluntly spoke her mind without hesitation.

This made Diana immediately flush with embarrassment. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"I heard you with my own ears that you said you've been waiting for my husband since middle school and then eagerly chased after him. But now that I see you, I'm starting to doubt your words.

"With your outfit and makeup almost identical to mine, I wonder if it's not my husband you're after but me instead!" Natalie quipped with a sarcastic smile.

The similarities in style didn't seem like a big deal at first. But copying her every move while trying to seduce her husband? That was outright disgusting.

Austin glanced over and was surprised to see Natalie. He walked over to her immediately.

Natalie rolled her eyes at Austin. Even though she was confident that he wouldn't betray her, seeing Diana still made her uncomfortable.

"Austin, look at her! She actually said such things about me! We were childhood sweethearts. Who is she to insult me like that?" Diana cried out in anger and grievance.

No one had ever dared speak to her this way before. Even if she had humbled herself to work as a lowly assistant for Austin, the employees at the company didn't dare mistreat her.

They knew she had a backing, unlike the regular employees.

Natalie was utterly speechless. "Are you playing the victim now? What's there to cry about? If you actually became Austin's mistress today, I wouldn't even blink before handing him over to you."

"You... You!" Diana was so furious she couldn't even form a proper sentence.

Hearing Natalie's words about handing him over, Austin frowned and looked at her. "She was placed here by someone, and it's temporarily impossible to dismiss her."

"Austin! Why are you even explaining this to her? I'm not like her. I'm no ordinary person. I have my family backing me. What does she have?" Diana said disdainfully, clearly looking down on Natalie's background.

How could a divorced, ordinary woman possibly marry Austin? It was humiliating!

She had never been so embarrassed in her life. Many people had mocked her for not even being on the list of potential matches for Austin.

Even when there was no one else ahead of her, she still wouldn't have a chance. She refused to accept it!

"She has me," Austin said coldly.

She was pragmatic about such things.

If Austin ever fell out of love with her, they would simply divorce and go their separate ways. If she ever felt lonely, there would be no shortage of fresh-faced young men eager for her attention.
