Chapter 1271
The day we got back home, just as the plane hit the tarmac, our little Henry was swept away into someone else's arms. Andre, who had never been this excited to meet someone at the airport, quickly wrapped his arms around me instead. "Did you have a good time?" he asked with a warm smile.
Mia, with a playful pout, replied, "We had a blast, but it just wasn't the same without you. I really missed having you around."
Henry, bubbling with excitement, kept reaching out his tiny hands toward his dad, chirping, "Dada, baby!"
Amused and slightly exasperated, Andre went over to scoop up his little guy, who was clearly feeling a bit possessive.
Cradled in his dad's arms, Henry started babbling away, and Mia translated his baby talk, "He says we went on a boat, but Mommy wouldn't let him dive into the water."noveldrama
Andre chuckled, gently tweaking Henry's cheek, "And why did you want to go for a swim?"
Mia chimed in, "Swim? I couldn't keep him safe even with Cooper's help. This little guy's all arms and legs, a real handful!"
Not only did Henry want to dive in, but he also fancied himself as the ship's captain. When told no, he cried out for "Daddy to fight." Clearly, our son was hoping his dad would back him up.
Once off the boat, Henry, nestled in his dad's arms, whispered in his sweet, little voice, "Dada, got a gift for you!"
Mia quickly opened her handbag, pulled out a delicate pearl bracelet, and handed it to Andre, "Look, your son insisted on picking this out for you. I tried to suggest something more manly, like a wooden bead bracelet. But your stubborn son insisted this pearl bracelet was perfect for his dad. He wouldn't let it go or leave the shop until I bought it."
And so, Andre proudly received the very first women's bracelet of his life.
Henry, beaming with excitement, urged his dad to put it on. Andre was caught in a moment of indecision, unsure if he should laugh or scold.
Hansen, hobbling over on his cane, took in the scene with a smirk, "Oh, a bracelet gift, huh? Henry's truly showing his 'devotion'." His kids always gave him a headache, and now it seemed like karma was catching up.
The more Hansen watched his grandson, the more adorable Henry seemed.
"Come here, my little treasure. Let grandpa give you a hug."
Henry toddled over, and Mia, rummaging in her bag, pulled out another gift, "Dad, here's something your devoted grandson picked out just for you."
"What's that?" Hansen leaned in, curious.
Mia grinned, "A pearl necklace."
Hansen was momentarily at a loss for words.
Mia added with a chuckle, “Your grandson, with all his youthful charm, picked out
a pink pearl necklace for 'squeeze squeeze.""
Hansen quickly handed Henry back to us, shaking his head.
His adorable grandson was a handful indeed.
On the car ride home, Henry, perched on his dad's lap, was shouting, "Squeeze squeeze!"
Hansen grumbled, "This kid's going to be the end of me."
Henry's little voice rang out at the airport, "Squeeze squeeze dead!"
Hansen was left speechless.
Everyone around us was stunned.
Mia quickly covered Henry's mouth, while Andre instinctively pulled him closer, shielding him from any scolding.
Hansen, red with frustration, glared at his little 'angel.'
Mia laughed awkwardly, "Dad, come on, he's only two. He hasn't even started school yet and still mixes up his words. Forgive his innocent chatter."
Hansen, exasperated, tapped his cane against the floor, "This kid'll be the death of me."
Mia let go of Henry's mouth, and even Andre, usually so serious, encouraged his son, "Go on, say, 'I love you, Grandpa.""
When Henry was in the mood, he could be the sweetest, "Squeeze squeeze, baby loves squeeze squeeze!"
What do you think?
