Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1279

Leo wrapped his arms around Anya, holding her close until he couldn't take it anymore and finally released her. He playfully covered Anya's eyes, trying to hide his embarrassment. "I'm off to take a shower," he muttered.

Left alone in the dining room, Anya's cheeks turned a rosy shade as she shyly looked down. Soon, the sound of running water echoed from the bathroom, deepening the blush on Anya's cheeks.

Time seemed to stretch before Leo reappeared, wrapped in a bath towel. Too shy to meet his gaze, Anya retreated to the safety of her bedroom. Leo headed back to his own room, taking deep breaths to steady his pounding heart. He knew that if he crossed that line, he couldn't stand the thought of being apart from Anya.

In her room, Anya held her phone, pondering for a moment before deciding to call her parents. "Hey, Mom and Dad. There's something I want to talk to you about!"

Meanwhile, in the Cedillo household, Andre watched his little night owl son, Henry, who was determined to climb onto the nightstand instead of sleeping. What started as a father-son chat quickly turned into a showdown!

Henry, with his tiny backside sticking out, was set on his mission, even trying to hoist his little legs onto the furniture. Mia sat back, amused, glancing between her husband trying to keep his cool and their son who was testing his patience. She stayed entertained, munching on the unfolding drama.

Five minutes later, Henry was in the middle of the bed, tears streaming down his face. "I want Mommy!"noveldrama

Mia swooped in, playing the good cop. "Oh, mommy's here, mommy loves you." Henry flung himself into her arms, sobbing.

Taking the chance to impart a lesson, Mia said, "You know, you could've just let your dad give you a quick smack and been done with it, but no, you had to fight back. Now you've got one on each cheek."

Andre had given Henry a light tap earlier. Recently, Henry had been picking up some tricks from his mom, swinging his tiny fists around, thinking he'd learned enough to take on his dad. In no time, Andre's hand made another gentle connection with Henry's other cheek, prompting even louder cries.

Mia chuckled, "Even I can't beat your dad, and here you are, a little rookie trying to challenge the champ. I'm impressed, my fearless little cub!"

Henry, clinging to his mom, whimpered, "Not a bull, not a tiger!"

Only a mother could decode her child's words. Mia laughed heartily, wiping away his tears. "Oh, you're not a bull, you're my sweetie, and you're the bravest of all, right? You're not scared of your dad, the Tiger, are you? You're his little cub, his precious baby, right?"

Henry sniffled a soft "Mhmm!" which brought a warm smile to Andre's stern face. He couldn't quite understand how he and Mia had ended up with such a cheeky little tiger cub, mischievous yet utterly adorable.

Watching his dad smile, Henry, still teary-eyed, clung to his mom tighter. "Let him be," Andre said in a much softer tone. "He can sleep in his own room tonight."

The little rascal knew the score, and he started wailing even louder, coughing dramatically and clutching his mom's nightgown for dear life. Andre rolled his eyes, thinking, "What a little actor!"

Mia quickly hugged him tighter, patting his back. "Alright, my little trooper, you can sleep with mommy tonight, okay?"

Despite all the theatrics, Henry ended up nestled between his parents that night. One moment, father and son were at odds, and the next, they were wrapped in a tender family moment, thanks to Mia's knack for peacekeeping.
