Morning Kisses
Thaliana Tangi Dela Vezca
I can see that something happened from his heavy breathing. Did he have a disagreement with Luther? I noticed that he treated his brother differently when they met at the Gazebo. Is there a problem between them?
But Luther talks casually, and he doesn’t seem to have negative feelings about Rozzean.
“Are you okay?”
When Rozzean separated from me, I held both of his cheeks. His eyes were closed, and his thick eyebrows were furrowed. The worry in my chest eased when I saw his face.
“What happened? Tell me…”
When he opened his eyes, he shook his head slowly. He held my left hand and, as he pulled me, my foot pushed the door to close.
“I just had an unpleasant conversation with Luther,” he told me. He sat on my bed while I stood in front of him, and he still held my hand.
I knew something happened because they left only a few minutes ago, and he’s back already, just after I finished showering.
I examined his face and even his hands for any signs of a fight. It doesn’t seem like they physically fought as brothers.
“I just got annoyed.”
I can smell alcohol on him, but he doesn’t seem drunk. My gaze dropped to my hand that he tightly held.
“I didn’t like what I heard from him. I also don’t like that he’s forcing me to go home.”
I wonder what Luther said to upset him. I noticed his brother’s behavior earlier. It seemed like he wanted to test my patience, and it looks like he did the same to Rozzean.
I can feel that Luther was teasing me earlier. From what he said before he and Rozzean left earlier, he has an idea of what happened between us. That man knows a lot. It’s only his first day here, but he already found out a lot.
But I wanted to know if he is a threat, so we need to talk again. I’ll also tell him about my plan to stay here for another month.
When I heard Rozzean sigh, I pulled his hand.
“I think you need to rest. Whatever misunderstanding you have with Luther, you can work it out. He’s your brother, and family issues can be resolved.”
He looked up at me, sadness in his eyes again. I waited for him to speak, but he remained silent. I was surprised when he let go of my hand and took off the black polo he was wearing.
“W-What’s are you doing–”
He lay on my bed and patted the space next to him. When I didn’t move, he pulled my hand, and I ended up sitting on the bed right beside him.
“Sir!” I exclaimed.
“I’m going to sleep here.”
Oh… My eyebrows shot up at what he said. That’s why he removed his shirt. I remember him sleeping without shirt on.
“I’ll sleep here beside you.”
When I tried to get up, he wrapped one of his hands around my waist and pulled me back.
His head rested on my neck while his hand held me tightly at the waist. How can I leave if he’s holding me like this?
But is he serious? What if his brother looks for him in his room? And I didn’t lock my room door!
“Sir, I think it’s better if you sleep in your room. It’s just a few steps away on the third floor. If you’re feeling dizzy from the alcohol, I can even escort you there–”
He took a deep breath and tightened his hold on my waist.
“Where’s Rozzean?” he asked.
I looked at him. It seems he really has no intention of going back to his room, so I let it be. My right hand lifted to his hair, and my fingers gently brushed through it.
“Why are you calling me ‘sir’ again?”
I bit my lower lip. I really don’t know what to call him now.
“Sir because you’re still my boss,” I replied.
He chuckled. “Boss, huh?”
I nodded, feeling a bit unsure.
He was sniffing my neck again.
I noticed that he had been smelling my neck several times. I’ve also heard him say a few times that I smell good.
“I like your smell, Tali. What’s your perfume?”
“Perfume? I don’t wear any, sir,” I replied.
I’m not into wearing scents.
“I’m sleepy…”
Those were the last words I heard from him. I was brushing his hair. Rozzean didn’t say a word after mentioning he was sleepy. And in a few minutes, I heard his deep breathing, a sign that he had fallen asleep.
I never thought he could fall asleep so quickly. Maybe it was the effect of the alcohol that made him sleep so fast.
I got up from lying down and straightened his face. His hand was still tightly gripping my waist as if he thought I would leave at any moment.
When I tried to move away a bit, he furrowed his eyebrows and snuggled closer to me.
This is getting hard for me. But, Tangi, you need to be brave to face whatever Rozzean will do when he learns the truth.
It’s difficult, but I need to accept it because I got myself into this. It’s my fault.
“Just one month, okay?”
“After one month, I’ll fix everything.”
I lowered my face and kissed him on his forehead.
Lost in thoughts about the events of the past month and what could still happen, I didn’t notice when I fell asleep while Rozzean held me tightly.
The next day, as soon as I heard the alarm in my room, I opened my eyes. I was about to get up to go to the bathroom when I heard something.
“Good morning, baby…”
“H-Huh?!”
My eyes widened at what I heard. I looked to my left and saw Rozzean looking at me. His elbow was propped up, and he was smiling at me. His hair was messy, and he didn’t have a shirt on.
Instead of greeting him, I instinctively covered my face. I sighed in relief when I felt my mole.
Safe.
“Aren’t you going to greet me good morning?” he asked.
Oh right! He slept here last night. I almost forgot!
“G-Good morning-”
I was about to continue speaking when he leaned in and quickly kissed me on the lips. He even brushed my hair away from my face. Too early for this, Rozzean!
“Your bed is small, Tali. I just noticed.”
“H-Huh?” I asked, my eyebrows raised at what he said.
He looked behind him and even underneath. I found myself glancing at my bed too.
“We can’t stay here–”
I gasped as I realized what he meant.
“W-Wait!” I interrupted him.
I got up and stood in front of him, arms crossed. It’s only five in the morning, and this is what he’s thinking about! I gave him a disapproving look and pointed at the clock in my room. He shouldn’t have slept here because this isn’t his room.
What if the maid had come in last night? Or Luther? We didn’t even lock my room door!
He glanced at the clock but quickly returned his gaze to me.
“Go back to your room, sir-”
“Rozzean,” he corrected me.
I closed my eyes.
“Sir Rozzean-”
I yelped as he suddenly pulled me by the hand, causing me to fall on top of him. I tried to push myself up to move away, but he hooked his left hand around my waist.
“I had a good sleep. It’s been a while since I slept so well, Tali. I always have bad dreams, but last night was different. No nightmares. If you allow me, I want to sleep here beside you all the time.”
My lips parted in shock at what he said. He continued speaking.
“I can’t, sir! We’re not married, so we shouldn’t sleep beside each other all the time. Only married couples do that, right?” I told him.
He was smiling at me. Thankfully, he was smiling again.
“Why don’t we get married then?”NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
I was taken aback.
I always get surprised by what Rozzean says. But as I looked at him now, I noticed that he wasn’t joking about what he said.
“I’m sure about what I feel for you. If you say yes and want to be with me forever, I’ll marry you today.”
T-Today?!
I was too shocked to respond.
When I didn’t say anything, Rozzean lowered his gaze to my lips. He swept my hair aside and tucked it behind my ear.
He reached for my lips and kissed me quickly. When he looked into my eyes, he smiled. I didn’t expect him to be this flirtatious so early in the morning.
“I-I need to get up. I still have to prepare your breakfast… it’s Monday, and you have work at your company,” I said, realizing he was just staring at my lips while I spoke. I sighed.
I called him by his name to get his attention.
“Rozzean…”
But he still wasn’t listening. He was fixated on my lips. I swallowed hard when his hand moved. His hand went to my nape and pulled me closer.
“I like…”
He bit his lower lip.
“Morning kisses, baby…”
My heart was racing again, not out of nervousness but out of anticipation to feel his lips on mine once more. I looked at him, and his smile never left his face.
He seemed to have had a really good morning.
Rozzean’s face descended slowly, his pointed nose touching mine. It felt like slow motion when his lips gently brushed against my parted ones.
My hands went on both sides of his face and I gave in. He smoothly switched our positions without breaking the kiss. Now, I was beneath him, and he continued to kiss me passionately.
Rozzean said it was just a kiss?
“Damn.”
I kissed him back, and our tongues intertwined. When he pulled away, I was left catching my breath. I took deep, long breaths because of the intensity of our kiss.
It looks like I need to get used to not breathing for a while due to Rozzean’s kisses.
“You are doing great in kissing,” he smirked, touching my slightly swollen lips.
“Good morning, baby.”
Rozzean said, kissing me on my forehead.
