Shirley snapped awake, her heart pounding in her chest. Panic surged as she scrambled backward, away from the danger.

Zayn lunged, but his reach was off. His head slammed Hard into the window next to the cliff’s edge.

The thick glass cracked under the impact, splintering in jagged lines.

Zayn blinked, his mind slowly clearing, blood dripping down his forehead.

He pressed a hand to the wound and pointed at her, voice low and deadly. “You’re not escaping today!”

Shirley hugged herself tightly, her fear palpable. “Zayn, please, don’t do this!

“If you touch me … Robin will never forgive you!” Her voice wavered, desperate.

Zayn wiped the blood from his forehead, his laugh dark and taunting. “Robin’s already dead. Even if he weren’t, he wouldn’t make it here!

“I have to do this, Shirley. I have to do you to erase the hate I have for him!

“If it wasn’t for him–back in Brighton, in Draconia–no one would dare look down on me! I’m the

number one heir of Brighton!

“His existence ruined everything!

“Now, I am Lord Westeria, leader of one of the Eight Great Royal Houses. No one dares oppose me!

“I’ll make the world see I’ve taken Robin’s woman! Hahaha…”

“You’re insane!” Shirley’s voice cracked as she backed away, eyes darting for a way out. “I won’t let you take me, even if it means my death!

“You’re a joke, Zayn. You’ll never be like Robin. You’re nothing but a clown!”

Zayn’s fury erupted. He snatched a metal bench and hurled it at her with brutal force.

The bench crashed against the glass with a deafening bang.

The window shattered, sending shards flying through the air.

Shirley’s gaze flicked to the outside. Her breath caught. The cliff below stretched endlessly, hundreds of meters down.

A bitter smile curled her lips.

With Robin gone, what was the point of living?

Her life had already ended.

She would remain true to him, even if she turned to dust on this mountain.

No matter what, she would never let her beloved be dishonored.

As her thoughts spiraled, Zayn charged toward her agah, driven by rage.

Shirley sprinted to the window, climbed onto the ledge “Zayn, one more step, and I’ll jump.”

Zayn’s laugh sliced through the freezing air, harsh and mocking. “Shirley, you can’t threaten me! But let me give you some advice–doing what I say is your best option…

Step by step, he closed in on her, his every movement deliberate.

Shirley’s gaze flicked to the abyss beneath her. The dark, endless drop called to her. She turned away, her heart set.

Without hesitation, she leaped.

For a moment, she felt weightless, suspended in the cold, swirling snow.

She released all the pain that had clung to her.

Her soul, pure and untainted, chose the noble over the filth of the world.

Even if it meant destroying the illusions of a life once lived, she would preserve the dignity of the one she loved.

The world blurred, the fall endless, but in the deep, shadowed valley, strange flowers bloomed.

Delicate, ghostly blooms–red, white, and purple–twisted from the earth like ethereal spirits.

It was springtime for the world, but here, amidst the bitter snow, the red spider lilies bloomed. A miracle in the dead of winter.

Is this the curse of my past life? The cycle of fate?

A serene smile touched Shirley’s lips. It was radiant, peaceful.

For the first time in ages, she felt light, unburdened, hopeful. Robin’s voice echoed in her ears, urgent, desperate.

She knew. He was drawing nearer.

The sound of hooves echoed in her heart. Her pulse quickened, matching the rhythm. His calls–sweet, warm–filled the air.

My love, I am coming.

I will become the purest soil, devoted only to you.

Goodbye to the noise of this world. Through the storm, through the snow, I’ll find my way back to you.

My love, I once dreamed of waiting for you in this quiet corner, beneath the stars, under the moon.

I’ve imagined, countless times, wearing the snow like a shroud, holding a glass of strong liquor, waiting for the grandest love you would bring.

But in this cruel, ordinary world, I’ve endured endless humiliation.

I never saw a single glimmer of light, no warmth to ease the suffering,

In a past life, I waited for youour promises hanging in the air.

If I missed you then, and I miss you now, I will wait for our future together.

Even if my hair turns white with age, even if I wait until the red spider lilies bloom once more

Then, suddenly, the cold vanished. The wind stilled. The endless fall ceased.

A warmth enveloped her, a familiar, comforting presence.

Safety. Home. A flood of peace swept through her.

Shirley kept her eyes shut tight, too terrified to open them.

She feared that the warmth of love–one that spanned lifetimes–would slip through her fingers again.

“Robin, is it really you?” she whispered, her heart thundering in her chest, threatening to shatter.

“It’s me, Shirley.” Robin’s hand gripped the vine at the cliff’s edge, the other holding Shirley tightly. “I’m so

sorry..

Shirley pressed herself into his embrace, trembling like a fragile bird.

Her breath was shallow and cautious, unwilling to face the surreal nature of the moment.

“Shirley!” Robin’s voice cracked as he saw the pale, ghostly white of her hair. His heart clenched in sorrow. “You silly woman …”

Tears, long restrained, flowed at last, streaming down her face..

“Robin, it’s really you! It’s really you!” she cried, her voice breaking.

“I thought I’d never see you again. I thought this life was just another hopeless one. I thought you didn’t

want me …”

She clung to him, sobbing openly, her pain raw and unrestrained.

She feared that if she let go, she would lose him again.

Robin remained silent, letting her cry, her frustration spilling out in soft, broken sobs, her voice tremulous, like a child’s.

Then, with a sudden jolt, Shirley opened her eyes. Her gaze was wide with fear, taking in the familiar yet worn face of the man she loved.

Robin kissed her fiercely, his lips warm, burning against hers.

A thousand unspoken promises tangled between them, their love eternal, reborn through the curse of fate.

Wiping away her tears, glistening like pearls, Robin whispered, “Shirley, I’ll take you home.”

Shirley didn’t answer. She simply nestled deeper into his embrace.

At the villa on Bullhead Mount, Hannibal, Jethro, Jack, and Elliott all believed that, the moment Robin followed Shirley off the cliff, it was their final farewell.

Only when Misael reported that Robin and Shirley were safe did the chaotic scene start to settle.

Hannibal, watching Zayn still under the drug’s influence, shook his head in bitter disbelief.

Words couldn’t capture the hopelessness he felt as he watched Zayn’s destruction.

“You animal!” Hannibal shouted, kicking Zayn to the ground, fury flaring within him. “You’ve ruined your grandfather’s name and honor!”

“We don’t even have the dignity left to stand on this land,” he spat, eyes burning with anger.

“You worthless bastard! Today, I’ll end you myself. I’ll apologize to Master Ramsey, to the fallen lords, and the ones on their deathbeds!”

A hurried set of footsteps echoed through the room.

Hohenheim Virtue, head of the Top Decision Bureau’s Foreign Security Department, entered with a team of agents.

“Zayn is suspected of communicating with Dark Syndicate operatives. Arrest orders are now official.”

“Hannibal, as Zayn’s father and the intelligence director at Westeria Residence, you must return for investigation!”

“Arrest them!”
