"Ms. Davina, about those people just now, should we report it to Ms. Barlow? Percy asked respectfully.
Percy knew exactly who Davina really was. Hack when Sacha had looked into her background, the report had gone through
Davina walked leisurely ahead, completely unfazed by what had just happened.
"No need. My personal affairs don't concern Sacha.
Honestly, she probably should've checked her horoscope before leaving the house-what kind of bad luck led to drama during a simple shopping tript
Cassia and Ashen, the twin brothers closest in age to Stella, were naturally the ones she was closest to
And those two? They weren't just popular in school. They had massive online fan bases too.
Ashen, the younger twin, was a hotheaded professional e-sports player known for his toxic trash talk. During the three years Davina had been home, Ashen had verbally attacked her more than anyone else.
Cassia, still in school, was already signed with an entertainment agency. He hadn't officially debuted yet, but he'd already released an album. Online fans hailed him as a future A-lister, a rising star everyone wanted to see shining.
As for Blair-he'd made the cover of major financial magazines before even turning 30. He was already Zlanta's youngest and most successful CEO.
Lewis was a well-known attorney-respected, admired, and practically worshipped in his field.
And then there was Stella, Stella was obsessed with being the ultimate Ms. Perfect. To feed her vanity, she spent loads of money on PR teams to paint the four brothers as over e-top, sister-loving maniacs, all so she could be see as their precious, pampered princess.
"This is odd," Percy couldn't hold back his curiosity any longer. "Ms. Davina, may I ask something?"
Davina, unusually patient, nodded. "What is it?"
"Well, you're the real daughter of the Summers. Those two should be your actual brothers. So then... why...?"
"Why are they so insanely biased?" Davina finished for him with a faint, amused smile.
Percy nodded.
If he hadn't witnessed it himself, he wouldn't have believed anyone could treat their biological sister so coldly while worshipping someone who wasn't even related by blood.
Davina smirked casually, "Maybe they just hate me that much."
Percy frowned, clearly confused, but he didn't press further.
Suddenly, Davina asked, "Do you know any pharmacies nearby? Preferably one that sells herbs."
Percy thought for a moment and said, "There's a place called Herbal Haven nearby. They specialize in medicinal herbs."
Take me there'
Davina needed to rebalance her health. Over the past two years in prison, she'd used internal and external remedies to restore her body and complexion to normal, but she was still a long way from regaining the abilities she had in her previous
life.
More adjustments were needed.
And besides that, she needed a way to make money.

"Are you here for a consultation or to pick up medicine?" the shop assistant asked.
Davina rattled off a long list of herbal names. "Get me a small amount of each- just one or two portions."

The shop assistant blinked, overwhelmed by the sheer number of items. "Uh... miss, are you restocking for a whole clinic or something?"
Davina gave him a knowing look. "What gave me away?"
He stared at her, wondering if there was something wrong with this girl, then reluctantly started weighing herbs, muttering under his breath like she was completely off her rocker.
Percy hadn't expected her to buy nearly everything in the store either. When he noticed the odd looks people gave them, he rubbed his nose awkwardly.
Whydoes Ms. Davinahavetogoso over-the-top witheverythingshedoes?
On the way back, just as they were about to leave the area, someone called out.
"Davina!"
A middle-aged woman carrying a canvas bag rushed toward her.
"It really is you! You're out?"
Davina looked at her flatly. "Do you need something?"
The woman had sallow skin and a mean, sharp look. "Well, since you're out now, try to live like a decent human being. You. kind of had it coming, didn't you? Thank goodness my real daughter wasn't affected. If she had been, I would never have let you off the hook!"
She scanned Davina up and down, clearly puzzled. How could someone look better after serving two years in prison?
Davina used to look dull and lifeless. But now? Her skin was glowing, her face radiant even without makeup-she looked like
a movie star.
Percy frowned. Who is this creep?
"You're back with the Summers now, right?" The woman's eyes drifted to the shopping bags in Percy's hands. "Looks like you're living pretty well,"
Then, she stepped closer, eyes gleaming. "Since you're doing fine, you probably have money to spare, huh? Your brother didn't get into a public school, so he's going to a private one-it costs a fortune. But you? You don't really need much. Why don't you help out and pay for his tuition?"noveldrama
Davina raised a brow and chided, "What does my money have to do with you? Your son's tuition should be your daughter's problem, not mine. Why the heck are you asking me? Are you out of your mind?"
What do you think?
