Chapter 1823
Chapter 1823
Eventually, giving in to the imminent threat of death, Ms. Quill growled through her teeth, "My grandfather is Governor Quill!" Azar, who was still holding up his knuckle, seemed to freeze right then.
As such, when Ms. Quill turned, she found Azar only staring fixedly straight ahead, still poised for attack but stiff like a statue.
"Hmph!"
Ms. Quill laughed coolly as she looked on, pursing her lips. "At least you know your place. If you lay a finger on me, my grandfather will destroy everyone in this room!"
However, while Ms. Quill was relishing in the delight of making Azar back off, Frank scowled and snapped at her, "Shut up."
"You shut up!"
Ms. Quill could not care less now that she had played her trump card, smirking as she glared at Frank. "The same goes for you too! If you touch me again—"
"I'm telling you to shut up! Don't breathe!" Frank snapped viciously.
Ms. Quill flinched and quickly clasped a hand over her mouth.
It was only then that she realized Frank had already freed her neck and quickly ran to put some distance between them.
And seeing her escape, her two sentries promptly shielded her from the front and back. "Are you alright, Ms. Quill?"
"How am I alright?!" she snapped, bristling. "Take a good look at my face and my hand! He hurt me, but you two geezers only watched!"
The two sentries scowled at being called geezers.
"We had no choice. You were restrained, and if we had moved recklessly—"
"I don't care!"
Ms. Quill bellowed stubbornly, "I'm ordering you both now to take down Frank Lawrence! Hack off his limbs, and I will personally handle the remains! Go!"
Her outburst left both sentries trading glances, but they eventually obeyed and glowered as they advanced on Frank.
Frank was scowling as he saw that Ms. Quill was still hollering and warned quietly, "I said, shut up-that's for your own good!" "Hah!"
Ms. Quill snorted in disdain as she stood akimbo. "For my own good? Did you think I'd buy that, after you slapped me and broke my hand?! Hah! You would've killed me¶f that fool wasn't coming for you! All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
"You're... unbelievable!"
Frank had already expected that Ms. Quill was a difficult person, but he did not predict that it was to this extent.
Pointing at Azar, he snapped
coolly, "Did you really think that he
stopped because of who you are? Well, you're very much
mistaken-the poison in his body had simply kicked in!"
"What?!"
Titus, who was simply watching in the distance, frowned.
On the other hand, Ms. Quill laughed in disdain. "Hahaha! You can trick children with such lies, but do you really think the whole world is as stupid as you and your mom?!"
swn
"Shut up!" Frank snarled through his teeth. "Don't talk about my mom!"
"Oh, but I will keep talking about your mom! Go on, hit me if you can!"
Ms. Quill stood akimbo, dead sure that Frank was at a disadvantage and had nothing over her.
