The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2726

It was superstition, as even fools knew that reincarnation was not real.

But the richer they were, the more superstitious they got.

Still, Drunken Moon said, "I'll get your mother's ashes back."

Zein signed. "Thanks for the offer, but it's too dangerous. And she'd really do it if she's pushed too far."

Drunken Moon would not want to bother Frank since this was her friend's problem and not hers, and he was not obliged to help.

However, she honestly did not want to let people like Dani strut and leveled a pleading look at Frank.

She simply did not know that Frank was always eager to help, and he had to agree that Dani was too sickening to be left at large.

Putting a hand on his chest, he assured Zein, "Just tell me where the urn is. I'll definitely recover it for you."

Zein was rubbing his brow as he said, "The people you're dealing with aren't as simple as they appear."

Frank chuckled. "That applies to others too."

And with those words, he disappeared.

Zein—who had been lounging pessimistically on his seat—straightened right then, rubbing his eyes repeatedly as though he was imagining it.noveldrama

When Frank materialized in front of Zein again, he said, "I know you're afraid of her because she has the help of people like me—people who can do things you can't begin to imagine. But that's fine, because to me, it's no more than cheap tricks. Dealing with them is like cutting veggies."

Zein naturally knew that—Frank's abilities were far beyond what he recognized as the norm, and he would most definitely succeed.

Even so, Zein still could not understand. "W-Why do you insist on helping me? You're close with Drunken Moon, but there's really no reason to go that far for me."

Frank chuckled. "I would've helped if I knew about this, even if I wasn't her friend.

"While I can't say I agree with how you stick to tradition, I respect the gesture—there are just so many who forget gratitude as soon as they find success.

"Also, it's in my nature to meddle. I especially love taking the side of justice to bully conceited villains."

With Frank having put it that way, Zein had no reason to keep flopping around and told him where Dani lived.

Soon, Frank arrived outside the best local hotel, turning invisible as he headed toward Dani's room, where she was frolicking with a stout man.

Chuckling, the stout man asked, "How was that? Do you understand who's a real man now?"

Dani nuzzled his shoulder and purred, "Of course you're the real man, Mr. Creston! You have no idea... Zein is such a bitch that he didn't even touch me after we got married. He deserves what's coming for him."

Mr. Creston laughed. "If only he could hear you. Well, I just have to enjoy what he's missing!"

They shared a sleazy smile, when a melodious yet eerie voice echoed around them. "Don't worry. I'll pass the message!"

"Who's there?"

While Dani thought she was hearing things, Mr. Creston was dead sure that someone was inside.

As he sprang to his feet and looked around, the voice spoke again. "And here I thought you two were a big deal. It turns out you simply have leverage."

At the same time, the urn of ashes beneath the bed suddenly floated into the air, hovering right in front of Mr. Creston and Dani!
