The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 1063

Both Dean and Atlas rushed forward excitedly. "Can you demonstrate the power now?"

Tyler nodded. "Yes."

Without another word, Dean left and returned with his palm open, holding blue powder. They had scraped it from their blue crystal using ancestral tools.

The powder provided 30 minutes of protection from the creatures outside. Dean used it for supply runs. Otherwise, they would have starved.

He had only brought his direct line and elites here, leaving the rest in Bedford at the family compound. Those people were expendable, so enemies wouldn't waste time killing them.

At the entrance, Tyler walked out with the blue powder. Various wraiths wandered about and were easy to spot. The powder kept them from attacking Tyler.noveldrama

Taking a deep breath, he approached the nearest wraith and touched it with his right hand. Immediately, both became motionless.

After about ten minutes, Tyler's lips curled into a smile. He withdrew his hand and commanded, "Down!"

The wraith actually dropped to the ground, sending Dean and Atlas into a frenzy of excitement, laughing. "Excellent!"

Dean had fought these wraiths. Even with mastery of Transcendent Realm, he couldn't destroy a single one. They were that terrifying.

Imagine leading an army of such wraiths into Martial City. Nothing could stop them by then.

"Well done, Tyler! How many can you tame in a day?" Dean asked.

Tyler was a nobody in the family, so he was thrilled at Dean's approval. "Two."

Dean nodded. "Good. Just focus on this. When you've tamed 100, we'll return to Martial City. Not even Felix will stand in our way!"

Who could have guessed the book in the mansion contained techniques for controlling Corpse Town's wraiths? The gods had really taken the Maximus family's side this time.

Four days later, Felix had waited an hour at the entrance.

Without it, even three years wouldn't be enough. Whoever created this must have been incredible

Though just beginning, Felix's understanding of souls had deepened immensely in seven days. He could even control Lumen now. The Codex mentioned the dagger was specifically crafted for its techniques.

Lumen's previous attacks were merely automatic protection. Using it through the Codex would increase its power significantly.

Outside Corpse Town, Dickson appeared with several Harmony Clinic members.

"Please! Don't throw me into Corpse Town!"

The man in the lead was paralyzed with fear as he was being carried toward the entrance. Though being a test subject could be worse than death nothing compared to the Three Forbidden Lands—a terror ingrained in every Martial City resident's bones.

"Quiet!"

Dickson gestured. They forced two large black bags onto the man and threw him into Corpse Town.

"Felix, I'm still waiting for that Ascension Pill. You'd better survive."

He knew observers lurked nearby, and they were probably from the royal family. Perhaps Felix's survival at Echo Cavern made them more cautious this time.
