Chapter 71
Analise frowned. This person had to be someone else in disguise.
If he were truly Scott's brother, given how much their mother loved him, he would never use her to provoke Scott. Wouldn't he miss her too?noveldrama
Scott's expression turned cold. "Sean! That's enough!"
His sudden outburst startled Analise and the other therians around them.
Only the man across from them remained unfazed, his smirk widening in amusement.
"Enough? Oh, we're just getting started," Sean said, narrowing his eyes. "I even brought you a gift this year."
With a simple gesture, a man and a woman stepped forward, standing side by side with him.
When Scott saw the woman, his pupils contracted sharply.
"She... She... she!" Finlay was so stunned that he could only point at her, stammering incoherently.
"She's...?"
A sense of unease crept over Analise. She desperately hoped it wasn't who she feared.
"Mom."
Scott's voice was barely a whisper.
"She's Scott's mother!"
Finlay, on the other hand, blurted it out in shock.
"Sean! What the hell are you trying to do?" Scott's eyes burned with fury.
"Mom is dead! So, why would you create a fake woman who looks exactly like her? Is it guilt? Do you feel guilty for causing her death? Or are you happy that even in death, she still protected you?
"And now what? Are you using this... thing to threaten me? Do you actually expect me to treat a half-robot like my mother?"
Scott was so enraged that the veins on his neck and arms stood out.
"Scott, calm down," Analise said, reaching out to grab his arm.
But she knew Scott couldn't possibly calm down at that moment.
If she were in his shoes...
Analise pressed her lips together.
"Ana, calm Scott down..."
A slight tremor ran through the air, and Finlay's voice carried a hint of pain.
Only then did Analise realize that Scott's mental power was spiraling out of control again.
All the others, except for Analise, were nearly crushed under the weight of Scott's energy.
"Scott! Scott!"
Analise called out twice more, but Scott remained agitated, his thoughtsrestless and unsteady. He understood Sean's intentions, yet when it came to their mother, Ke couldn't keep his emotions incheck. He refused to let her name be
dragged through the mud.
It wasn't that his mother didn't love him. She simply loved his brother more. Scott
had always known that.
"Sean! No! You're not Sean, are you?" Analise stepped in front of Scott, confronting the figure before her.
Not Sean?
Scott's gaze dropped, settling on the top of Analise's head as her words echoed in his mind. Why did she say something so similar, yet so completely opposite, to what their mother had always insisted?
His mother had never doubted it. Sean was still Sean. He had never left.
Scott had always thought his mother's words were absurd.
But now...
"Oh? You must be Ms. Chamber." Sean waved his hand, dismissing both the man
and the robotic woman.
Now, only Sean remained on the screen.
"How adorable."
He casually examined his fingers.
