The World of Beasts: She's Got Their Hearts

Chapter 75

Three small starships weaved through the vast expanse of interstellar space, locked in a chaotic chase that left streaks of dazzling light in their wake.

Meanwhile, the remaining starships closed in, encircling the rebels. The ones who had just cleared a path for Sean. It was clear they wouldn't be allowed to escape alongside him.

"Ana, keep that motion sickness remedy close. I'm about to pull some maneuvers," Finlay said, his focus sharpening in the face of combat.

Aware of Analise's susceptibility to space travel sickness, he had been keeping the ship's speed as low as possible.

Eyes fixed on the control panel, Analise traced the cluster of red dots and pointed to a specific location. "There."

"This is their most likely escape route. The Ironhorn Alliance is right behind us.

"I'll call Karl on the interstellar comms. Finally, take the ship to this position.

"They're not likely to escape toward the Ironhorn Alliance, so we just need to hold our ground and wait for Scott and the security forces to move in.

"Hopefully, Gideon doesn't go too crazy. He really would ram his ship if it came to that. Reckless doesn't even begin to cover it."

Analise pinched the bridge of her nose and took a swig of Clarity Tonic. Spending all day locked away doing research would drive anyone mad. "Yeah! I was thinking the same thing about blocking them here too."

Finlay nodded, his long fingers pressing buttons on the control panel, incomprehensible to Analise.

As the starship sped forward, Analise quickly fought back her discomfort and contacted Karl via interstellar comms.

After ending the call, she added Gideon as a friend in her contacts.

With that done, Analise sat down in the seat next to Finlay, trying to adjust to the weightlessness and dizziness.

Just as she massaged her temples, another interstellar call came through. It was Gideon again.

This time, she didn't hesitate and answered immediately.

"Ana, be careful. Sean's small starship can cloak itself. Even my ship can't detect

it."

Gideon's expression was much

more serious than before, and Analise could see a hint of worry in his eyes. "You have to be careful. Make that dumb dog next to you protect you."

"Who are you calling a dumb dog?" Finlay asked belatedly, still maneuvering the ship.

"Cloak?" Analise's eyes flickered, and she paused for a moment.

"Yeah, it just disappeared right in front of us," Gideon explained, seemingly still operating something. "My radar can't pick him up."

"Ana, do you have your Purification Bow?"

Gideon looked up. "This opportunity is crucial. If Sean gets away this time, it'll be hard to catch him again."

Analise's heart tightened. How did Gideon know about that?noveldrama

It was beyond comprehension.

"We're running out of time, Ana! The outer layer of the pocket drive is already cracking, which means Sean has discovered it, and he's attacking it." Gideon, too rushed to explain, spoke anxiously.

"Stay where you are and aim your Purification Bow directly ahead at the starship. Its power can cover the entire pocket drive."

"Ana, trust me, just like you trust me!" Gideon stared at the white cracks in the void of space, his heart pounding like a drum. Sean couldn't be allowed to escape.

"Ana, hurry! Use the Purification Bow

as he says! There's no time to

explain! We need to stop ing

Echo's abrupt voice rang out giving Analise a sense of direction.

Analise reached out, and a jade-green bow materialized in her hand, adorned with

vine-like carvings that wrapped around the entire frame.

This was the bow from Analise's subconscious.

She wasn't sure if it came from an old cartoon or anime, but she remembered a protagonist with a bow using this translucent jade-green weapon.

The moment her other hand touched the string, a Purification Bow appeared automatically.

Setting aside the childhood toy bows made of branches, this was Analise's first time properly drawing and shooting an arrow. Nervousness was inevitable.

As she released her hand, the Purification Bow shot forward, piercing through the

void as if it ignored the starship and leaving a bright trail in its wake.

A small silver starship suddenly appeared not far in front of Analise.

"There it is!"
