If Joe knew about this, there was a high chance that he knew about Zayn

transferring his assets.

What did this mean?

Did he have something planned to deal with Zayn? Or was he allowing Zayn to continue?

Her mind was in a mess.

"Josephine, I personally picked you to marry into the Forbes family. I won't let you suffer. Just get some rest. I'll teach that brat a lesson."

After hanging up, Josephine's hands were shaking.

Joe didn't want her to divorce Zayn, so he tried to convince her. However, it wasn't because he cared about her, but because of the value she brought.

That was likely the reason why Zayn didn't want a divorce as well.

Otherwise, nothing else could explain why he would continue putting on an act of loving her, while unwilling to cut ties with Nadine.

Like father, like son. They were both clinging on to her for their benefit.

She couldn't let this go on any further. She had to divorce Zayn as soon as possible.

The Uber pulled up at the entrance of a manor. The driver looked out the window and asked, "Do you actually stay here?"

The manor was massive and far away from the city.

Judging by its size, a place like this would cost at least ten million dollars.

If the cost was already ten million dollars, the renovations would've easily been millions. He had heard that the monthly upkeep alone was tens of thousands.

This was the kind of life only the elite could afford.

Under normal circumstances, Josephine would have politely given a response, but she wasn't in the mood. She paid and got out.

Unexpectedly, Ethan stepped out as well.

"You..."

"It's already late at night. If I go home now, I won't get there until past 1:00 am. Can I stay a night here?"noveldrama

How could he stay over suddenly?

Josephine stared at him and let out a sigh. "I know you're worried about me. Don't be. I'm fine. Just go home."

"I really want to stay. If you think it's inappropriate for a man to stay here with you,

I can ask Simon and Arther to come over."

At a time like this, he couldn't let her be alone.

Even if he couldn't stay by her side. being in the same house with her would make a difference. At the very least, she wouldn't feel isolated and helpless.

Josephine had no concerns about being alone with another man. Besides, they weren't sharing a room, but a house. She simply didn't want to trouble him.

Since he was being considerate, and she didn't have the energy to argue with him, she nodded.

"Ms. Dunn, you're back. Oh, Mr. Dane is here as well."

Gloria had been waiting by the door. She felt relieved seeing Josephine return. But when she spotted Ethan, she was startled but quickly recovered.

Ethan had been appearing often

lately. Now, even at this hour, they were still together. There was definitely something going on between them, so she didn't say anything else.

"Gloria, go get some rest. I'll go to bed soon. Don't stay up for me."

"Okay, I'll go to bed then."

Gloria took a glance at Ethan. Seeing how handsome he was, she felt that Josephine had great taste.

Once Gloria left, Ethan walked into

the kitchen. After a quick scan around he grabbed a glass and took out the fruit he had with him. He made a simple juice and placed it in front of Josephine.

Then, he took off his jacket and sat down next to her.
