"Would you like to take a look?" Ethan raised an eyebrow. His eyes lit up with a smile. "If you want to, I'll let you look."

It was just notes of the comments on his bread. Why was he being so mysterious?

Yet, when she saw the seemingly gentle yet mischievous gaze, she becamenoveldrama

unsure.

It felt like she would have something to lose after looking at the notes.

She retracted her gaze as she subconsciously thought of running away. "Forget it. I'm not interested in invading people's privacy."

Not long after breakfast, her phone started ringing non-stop.

She had anticipated this, so she wasn't nervous.

However, when she saw the familiar names pop up on her phone, she still felt the embarrassment that came with the scandal being exposed for all to see.

But she didn't answer every call.

For the ones she wasn't interested in talking to, she simply hung up.

As for the ones who mattered, she would answer and explain.

"I'm fine. Things aren't as they seem. Zayn and I will hold a press conference later to clarify everything."

The night before, she had already prepared a script. No matter who asked, she would give the same official reply.

However, when she received a call from Benjamin, she couldn't hold back her tears.

That was because she sensed the anger and concern in his tone.

"That bastard swore to me that he'd treat you well! How dare he do something so disgraceful? Pack your things and come home. You can live in any of my villas!"

She replied calmly, "Dad, aren't you worried that a divorce will affect the family business?"

The Forbes and the Dunns had

long-standing business ties. Joe and Benjamin had been friends for years. Because of the marriage, their partnership for the past three years strengthened.

Once news of Josephine and Zayn getting a divorce became public, it would surely affect their partnership.

Benjamin scoffed. "Do you think I

agreed to the marriage because wanted their business? I only agreed because I was betting on that bastard!

"From a young age, you've always liked handsome men, but let's be honest. Most of them weren't great Back then, I thought he looked good and seemed to treat women well. That's why I agreed to the marriage. I wasn't thinking about business."

It didn't matter whether he was telling the truth, hearing those words warmed Josephine's heart.

"Thank you, Dad. If you're not worried about the partnership with the Forbes, I have nothing to worry about."

Benjamin said seriously, "You don't have to worry. Ever since your mother left, we have grown distant. But you'll always be my daughter.

"I'll always be your safe harbor. If that bastard mistreats you, I'll fight him right in front of Joe!"

At 10:00 am, when Josephine received Zayn's call, she felt strong and confident inside.

She walked to the mirror and checked her outfit.

She wore a white woolen coat, tied with a black ribbon. Her long, curly hair and delicate makeup made her exude an elegant temperament.

The reason why she had chosen this look was because, for the past three years, she had been living as Mrs. Forbes.

But today, all she wanted to be was Josephine Dunn.

She took a deep breath and gathered her resolve. Then, she walked out. Unexpectedly, when she was at the door, Ethan walked toward her. "I'll go with

you."

"What for?"

He was an eye-catcher. The moment he appeared, he would surely attract the media's attention.

By then, before the matter between Zayn and Nadine could be resolved, she would have to deal with rumors about her and Ethan.
