Jasmine's POVThis is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Rhian and the rest stay here and play with Diego, but they go back to the office because they still have a lot to do. They are also happy that Diego has already woken up.

"Do you want something?" I asked him; David was already sleeping on the couch peacefully.

When Rhian and the rest left, he couldn't stop his excitement. He kept on asking how Diego was, if he was feeling better now, or if he needed something like that. He's so worried and cares about Diego. I'm so happy right now.

"You should sleep now. I heard what David said a while back," he said while looking at me. I am sitting right beside him.

I Don't know, but when he was in a plane crash, I started to get hysterical. I don't want him to leave us. I get scared. Really scared.

"I'm okay; you don't have to worry," I told him while trying not to cry, but then my tears were a traitor.

He suddenly wiped my tears. He should not move too much because he still has to get back his strength.

He cupped my face; he wanted to say something, but he couldn't.

I'm so worried about him. I thought he would not wake up because of what the doctor said.

"We did our best, but the patient is in a coma. We are not sure if he will still wake up. The only thing I could advise you, ma'am, is to get stronger and braver. We just hope that the patient also didn't lose his memories because his head was hit by a hard metal, which made it bleed. "

The doctor kept on talking while I couldn't process the words he was saying at that time.

"I'm sorry for making you worried," he said, which made me shake my head. I wiped my tears and smiled at him.

"No, I'm sorry. If I am the one who went abroad, then this won't happen to you," I told him, which made him look at me with those disagreeable expressions.

"Jaz, don't do that. Stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault, okay? And it will never be your fault." He tried to convince me.

I wiped my tears and looked away.

"No, Diego. I should be in your position right now," I said as he let out a heavy breath.

"Come here," he said, which made me look at him. He opened both of his arms, waiting for my hug.

I didn't hesitate to hug him. He caressed my back while I could hear his heartbeat.

"Stop crying now. I'm okay now," he said, which made me cry silently.

I missed this man. I don't know what to do without him. I can't think of him leaving us with my son.

I separated from our hugs and looked at him. He wiped my tears and fixed my hair.

When he does that to me before, I feel uncomfortable, but right now, I feel okay.

"I missed both of you," he uttered, which made me smile broadly. We missed you too, Diego.

"We missed you. My son kept on asking when he would wake up. He always stays by your side. He never left you. We never did. "I told him. He stared at my son, who was completely sleeping now.

"I also missed him. I was supposed

to surprise both of you, but then,

when the plane was about to land, there was a sudden malfunction. I don't know whether to come home or not because our private plane was also not working that day. I chose to book a ticket. But that happened," he said. I hel his hand.

"There's a lot of passengers on that plane. I thought we would die. There's a kid who is crying and even an eight-month-old baby. " He started telling.

I couldn't imagine their situation.

"He held my hand, asking for help. I

tried to protect him. I did. But someone grabbed him from me, and they fell, and everything went fast The last thing I saw was that all the passengers were crying and dying. He said while trying to remember What happened to them.

"I saw the kid whose body was covered with blood, and the plane started to burn," he said.

"All I thought that day was you and David. I kept on thinking about both of you. I thought that would be the end of my life when a Heavy metal fell from me." He said.

He'd been through a lot. I'm happy and sad at the same time. Even in that situation, he always thinks of us.

I don't know how I would be able to get back all the kindness and greatness he did to us.

"I was so scared when I found out

what happened to you. I'm so

scared. My son kept on crying while telling your name that I do not want to see him like that, just like how scared I am to see you here lying in the hospital bed unconscious, whether you would still wake up or not," I told him and my voice

cracked.

"The doctor told me that they didn't know whether you would still wake up or not. And now, I'm so happy and overwhelmed. I'm happy that you didn't leave us," I told him while tears escaped from my eyes again. He wiped my tears while staring at me.

"I'm overwhelmed also because, after all. You care and feel worried about me. That's all that matters now." He said while smiling.

"I'm happy seeing you acting like this," he added, which I don't understand.

"Are you out of your mind? Of course, who would not?" I told him, but he just chuckled.

He suddenly held my chin and stared at me. My heart started to beat so fast.

He slowly got closer to me while my gaze was stuck into his eyes. I gulped after I realized what was happening. But then the door suddenly opened, which made him stop.

"Sorry, ma'am, Sir" Cherry turned around.
