Chapter 8 curiosity
The teacher flashed a smile like someone who looked down on Kelvin.
“No need to make an issue of it, now answer quickly,” he ordered.
Kelvin tried his best to restrain himself from showing who he was while clenching his fists.
Perhaps the hairs on Kelvin’s back were already starting to show, it was just that they were still covered by his clothes, so no one would know if Kelvin would turn into a wolf figure that might scare the whole class.
Kelvin immediately answered the question with an angry face because he didn’t accept the teacher’s actions that belittled him, but he didn’t want such a small problem to mess things up.
Kelvin chose to give in, making the teacher clap his hands like he was encouraging a child who had successfully answered the question.
Kelvin unceremoniously left quickly without caring about all the people who saw him going out at such a fast pace.
All the students in the class immediately scattered out.
Selgie quickly ran a little to catch up with Kelvin who had left his class first.
“Are you mad at that teacher? You don’t have to take it to heart, that teacher is just like that.” Selgie spoke and tried to keep up with Kelvin’s footsteps.
“You think I’m interested in that.” He replied with a dismissive look. Then quickly walked away leaving Selgie who clenched her hands tightly.
She had to get that man.
No matter if she had to be a bit modest, she could at least get him.
Kelvin looked up at the moon that was so bright at night.
He rubbed his lips gently as he tasted the remains of his hunt.
His mind was in turmoil again, when he saw the girl at school.
Kelvin recalled the incident that he should have forgotten.
His eyes wandered far away remembering that old story.
The image was still quite clear to him.
Footsteps sounded loud, rushing down the stairs.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Along with the sound of a loud slap that rang in her ears.
“What are you doing why did you quit school!” She snapped at him.
The voice that everyone always dreaded.
Kelvin had just come down from upstairs, after hearing the commotion downstairs.
He just watched without daring to open his mouth after knowing that the one who scolded Erlan was his father.
He knew that his son was no longer in school.
Erlan just put on a straight face, not afraid of his father who was so angry.
His jaw was hardened, his eyes so sharp as if he wanted to immediately kill the prey in front of him.
“Are my words not ringing clearly in your ears Father? Do I have to pick your ears?”
“Erlan, watch what you say. Don’t you know how to respect the older ones?”
“Age is just a number. Aren’t you smarter than the adults, you’re even smarter than them.” Erlan said in such a cold tone as if there was a dislike for Kelvin’s intelligence.
He looked at Kelvin sharply.
Kelvin didn’t want to be outdone he also gave Erlan a sharp stare back, making them stare at each other sharply.
“What does it have to do with my intelligence? If you want to be smart, study properly.” Kelvin’s words sounded sarcastic.
Erlan was angry at Kelvin’s words as if the man was proud of himself. That made Erlan dislike it completely.
When Erlan wanted to reply to Kelvin’s words, his father opened his mouth again to speak to him.
“Erlan, you don’t have to say much or I’ll punish you for what you’ve done.
I don’t want to take care of such a stupid child! A disobedient child like you.” Her words boomed throughout the large room.
The room was like a magnificent royal palace with real gold on every wall.
It felt like a thousand needles stabbing into Erlan’s chest when he heard his father’s words.
“If you don’t want to take care of your stupid son anymore, then I’ll-” Before Erlan could finish speaking, someone had entered their house without knocking first.
“Oops… sorry I interrupted the conversation,” he said.
Such beautiful eyes, even from quite a distance, those beautiful eyes were still visible to Kelvin who was staring at the girl who had just entered.
The girl was familiar to those at home.
“No problem, it’s just a joke, you come here kid! Your parents already talked about you coming here to study together.”
Wilson, who had been angry with Erlan, calmed down with Melgie’s arrival.
Melgie’s gaze soothed everyone who looked into her eyes.
“Alright, uncle I’ll come…”
Melgie with her graceful steps walked up to Wilson and his two children.
Kelvin continued to stare at the girl who was now quite close to him, without blinking.
He was mesmerized by Melgie’s beauty every time.
“You guys study hard, I have to go now,” Wilson said and immediately left the three people who were still standing in their respective places.
“Come on Melgie, we start studying now,” said Kelvin with a face that was so happy because of Melgie’s arrival.
“Hmmm… Kelvin I don’t think I can right now, I have some important things to talk to Erlan about.”
Erlan triumphantly took Melgie’s hand and led her away from Kelvin’s presence.
Those beautiful eyes just glanced at her without intending to say what it all meant.
But why would Melgie explain all this… that was who she was to him.
Just the hard slap she got from Erlan and a feeling that was hard to define inside her.
Kelvin watched Erlan’s back as he walked away with his hand clasped tightly around Melgie’s with hatred, disliking his sister.
Maybe Kelvin was more intelligent than Melgie, but he always lost to Erlan who had an incredible charm that made women crazy about him.
While he only liked one woman, it was very difficult to get her.
Such a chaotic feeling and curiosity about what Melgie had said before about such an important conversation with Erlan, made Kelvin immediately follow the path that Melgie and Erlan had previously passed.
The path led to Erlan’s room.
How important was the conversation between the two of them, having to talk in a closed room?
