You Are My One and Only

Chapter 266

Chapter 266

Meanwhile, a hint of grimness flashed across Scott and Stellan's faces as they listened to the mother and daughter's conversation.

"Scott, let's check out the room upstairs." Stellan tugged at his brother as the two decided to set up a security system at home so that they'd know once a bad guy broke in.

Now that they were living in a massive house, it was only logical for them to be more vigilant.

After playing a little while with Sylvie, Patricia went into the kitchen, where she found Josephine busying away.

"I'll wash the vegetables," Patricia offered as she brought the vegetables aside for washing while Josephine moved on to prepping the fish and meat.

"The house is really sweet, Tricia. With such a massive kitchen, it's a treat to cook here."

Patricia was done washing the vegetables when she heard Josephine's words, and she smiled. "You'll have your work cut out for you when you clean the place up."

Of course, she and the kids would help Josephine with the chores during weekends.

She might have hired Josephine to be their nanny, but it was the latter who had been helping her all these years. What was more, Josephine genuinely treated the triplets well, and they also saw her as

one of them.

"Don't worry about it." Josephine beamed. "I don't usually have much to do anyway. Cleaning the house will be my daily workout."

Just then, Sylvie came into the kitchen. "Mommy, Mr. Handsome's here."

Patricia's cheeks turned rosy reflexively as the scene of their intimate moment in his place popped into her head.

She had gotten a little abashed; to think they had become so close.

"Tricia, why don't you make Mr. Arnold something to drink? I'll take over from here."

At that, Patricia wiped her hands dry and turned to her baby girl. "Sylvie, why don't you entertain Mr. Arnold while I make him a drink?"

Though this place was new, it had everything necessary. Hendrick had probably assumed they would move in very soon.

She found a box of tea at the bar by the dining room, and after steeping it, she brought it out to the living room.

She could already see the man sitting on the couch from afar. He had taken a shower at this point, dressed in casual clothing—a gray sweater and black pants. His let-down hair took some of his usual fierceness off the edge, making him look like a gentle guy next door.

Sylvie, on the other hand, gawked at him with her big, round eyes as she at by his side.

She could tell the girl thought this version of Isaac looked dashing, and she agreed that he looked exceptionally ravishing right then.

"Dinner will be ready soon, Mr. Arnold. Here, have some tea," she said as she put the teacup in front of him. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Meanwhile, Isaac riveted his deeply affectionate gaze on her, and Patricia knew full well what was running through his mind right then. Thus, she sat a little further away, or she believed she'd be turned on by his blazing eyes.

"Mr. Arnold, Mrs. Zimmers will cook up a feast tonight! You're also welcome to join us for more dinners," Sylvie chirped as she leaned against Isaac, who had been riveting his gaze on the woman scrolling her phone. He knew she was feeling abashed right then.

Though he had only managed to have her to himself for a few minutes, the sensation still made his head tingle as he recalled the moment, and he wouldn't mind dying on her.

At that, he licked his thin lips, swearing he'd have her for good next time.

"Thank you, Sylvie!" He caressed the little girl's face. "However, you'll have to ask your mom if she's willing to have me around."

Though Patricia had been trying to distract herself with her phone, she had been listening to their conversation, and she couldn't help pursing her lips a little when she heard Isaac's words.

"Tricia, don't you also agree that Mr. Arnold's handsome?!" Sylvie raised her voice. "You like him too, don't you? Can we let Mr. Arnold join us for dinner every day, please?"

Oh, how Patricia wanted to go and cover her daughter's mouth. How could she say that out loud and in front of him?! Dear God, please kill me now so that I don't have to live with this embarrassment!

"I'll go and see if Mrs. Zimmers needs any help. You should help yourself to some tea, Mr. Arnold."

With that, she dashed to the kitchen while Isaac chuckled dotingly under his breath.
