Alpha King Chases Abandoned Luna

Chapter 390

(Third Person's POV)

Alpha King Ethan Stone left the Stone family cemetery after paying his respects to Matriarch Evelyn's grave. The moonstone tombstone glowed faintly in the evening light as he walked away from the sacred grounds.

He intended to find Olivia Winters and tell her that Victoria Frost had been arrested by the Northern Territory Enforcers. His amber eyes held a mixture of determination and hope as he considered how to approach his estranged mate.

Just as he exited the sacred grounds, his phone rang with an urgent tone. The caller ID showed Dr. Harrison Fletcher's name.

"Alpha Stone, Victoria Frost has just been rushed into the emergency room at Crescent Moon Medical Center," the pack healer reported with concern in his voice. "Her condition is very critical."

Ethan's steps halted immediately. His wolf stirred uneasily within him as he processed the unexpected news.

Victoria had been experiencing severe blood loss and hypovolemic shock while being transported by the enforcers. The wounds Connor Blackthorn had inflicted were more severe than initially assessed.

She was admitted to Dr. Harrison Fletcher's private medical facility for emergency treatment. The enforcers had no choice but to seek immediate medical

intervention to prevent their prisoner from dying in custody.

Ethan's amber eyes darkened instantly upon hearing about Victoria's deteriorating condition. His Alpha instincts conflicted between justice and an inexplicable need to preserve life.

"Spare no expense to save her," he commanded through the pack bond. His voice carried the unmistakable authority of an Alpha King.

Dr. Fletcher felt surprised by the Alpha's immediate response. "I understand, Alpha Stone. I'm mobilizing the expert medical team to provide emergency care for Victoria."

Dr. Fletcher's call was actually a test of Ethan's true feelings. He wanted to gauge whether the Alpha still harbored protective instincts toward Victoria despite her crimes.noveldrama

Understanding Ethan's stance, Dr. Fletcher was about to contact the specialized medical team. This was the same team that had been assembled specifically for Evelyn Winters' surgery.

As he turned to make the

arrangements, he suddenly noticed a familiar figure. Olivia Winters stood only two steps behind him, her

caught every word of his

conversation with Ethan.

Dr. Harrison Fletcher panicked upon seeing Olivia. His scent immediately shifted to one of anxiety as his wolf recoiled.

"Luna Winters..." he began hesitantly, knowing full well the complicated dynamics

at play. His hands trembled slightly as he held his phone.

As a pack healer, he understood that Ethan had been desperately trying to win

back his true mate's forgiveness. He also knew that Olivia was the white moonlight Ethan had cherished since he was ten years old.

Now, having Olivia overhear that Ethan had instructed him to use the expert medical team could lead to a terrible misunderstanding. The same team originally assembled for her mother's critical surgery was being redirected to save Victoria Frost, the she-wolf Olivia despised most.

Dr. Fletcher wanted to explain on Ethan's behalf but found himself at a loss for words. He couldn't fathom the Alpha King's motivations, why Ethan bad become so anxious upon hearing of Victoria's dire condition and insisted she be saved at all costs.

"Dr. Fletcher, I brought my mother in for her scheduled check-up," Olivia interrupted the flustered healer. Her emerald eyes were carefully controlled despite the storm raging within her wolf.

It would be a lie to say she wasn't angry or deeply hurt. How could Ethan, after learning that Victoria had maliciously caused Lily's death, still care so much about that she-wolf's survival?

How could he face their daughter's spirit in the ancestral hunting grounds? The betrayal cut deeper than any silver blade.

However, this was a matter between her and Ethan as mates. She didn't want to involve others in their personal conflict.

Moreover, she couldn't let her mother discover this betrayal. Evelyn was still recovering from her own ordeal and couldn't afford to become agitated over pack politics.

"Luna Winters, I have a critical emergency to handle," Dr. Fletcher said, not wanting to delay Victoria's treatment any longer. "I'll arrange for another qualified healer to conduct your mother's check-up."
