The whole mess hadn't reached the point where everyone was buzzing about it. When Fiona dashed to the hospital after school, she found Erica and her family holed up in the dean's office. Even with decent soundproofing, you could still catch the echoes of Erica's family shouting from a distance.

Fiona frowned, clearly not thrilled, with Tyler and Nash by her side. Jackson was supposed to show up sooner, but a surprise data breach at Woods Corporation had him caught up. Even Kimberly, who was chilling in the Bahamas, had to grab the first flight back.

Nash listened to the commotion, the sharp scent of disinfectant and alcohol filling the air, only adding to his growing frustration.

"Alright, I believe you. But you know, I with all the fancy medical tech these days, if Erica's family keeps saying the kid is yours, to protect you and Woods Corporation, I'll have to get the dean to do a paternity test. It's the only way to be sure."

With the answer she needed, Fiona quickly hung up. Just as she about to open the door, Tyler

"Erica's sudden pregnancy and Allen reaching out to you-it's clearly aimed at you and Jackson," Tyler analyzed, showing wisdom beyond his years. "If this was cooked up by the Larkin family, using Allento stir up your medical skills issue and covering for Allen, then Allen's old scandals might look like deliberate schemes. The authorities would then have a reason to blacklist Allen, and Woods Corporation would face scrutiny. With any excuse, the Woods family could be in hot water."
