My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 501

"There's nothing you can bring out that will make me stop my..."

Anson was speaking with great conviction when his gaze flitted downward to see what Zion had brought out.

In an instant, the words died in his throat, and he said nothing further.

Anson was dazed for a moment and woodenly looked at the token Zion was holding.

Zion was afraid that Anson could not see it clearly, so he flipped it over once or twice to show him exactly what the token was.

Anson's gaze unfocused as he was taken aback.

"This is..."

His throat went dry as the desert, and his face turned slack in disbelief.

"Superintendent, this is exactly what you think it is," Zion said with a grin.

Anson's face stiffened.

He was rooted to the spot.

When he first saw the token, his heart skipped a bit.

After examining the token repeatedly to make sure it was what he thought it was, Anson realized that it was the same token that the Martial League had lost a long

time ago.

It was the Martial League's Supreme Token!

Only the leader of the Martial League had the Supreme Token, which was capable of commanding all the martial artists of Lovellia. No one dared to disobey the orders of the one who held it.

Once upon a time, the Martial League was the most powerful organization in the martial world of Lovellia.

The leader of the Martial League, titled the Martial Supreme, was immensely powerful and could defeat many of the martial world's veterans. When the Supreme Token was used, even the top ranked organizations had to bow down. However, the last leader of the Martial League had disappeared with the Supreme Token. Ever since, the power of the Martial League had diminished. Although they were still a powerful organization of martial artists in Lovellia, they could no longer command everyone.

Anson never imagined that he would see the Supreme Token before him. "Where did you get this?" Anson looked at Zion in surprise. His voice trembled.

To the higher-ups of the Martial League, the Supreme Token was a very significant object. It represented the highest position of the Martial League. It was proof of one's legitimacy.

There was a saying in the martial world that when the person who held the Supreme Token showed up, he would be considered the next leader of the Martial League.

Anson knew that it was not just a saying, but the truth.

It was an order that the previous leader of the Martial League had given before disappearing.

In the past years, people of the Martial League had been searching tirelessly for the Supreme Token.

They all wanted to meet the newet

leader and hoped that they would bring the Martial League back to its previous glory.

"You..." Anson stared at Zion in surprise.

Could Zion be the successor chosen by the previous leader of the Martial League?noveldrama

However, Zion only smiled and shook his head.

"Please don't misunderstand, Superintendent. I only have temporary possession of the token for the duration of my job. I am not its true owner."

Anson frowned.

"Who is its true owner?" he quickly asked.

"He is closer than you think," Zion said meaningfully.

Anson looked around at everyone present. He shuddered when he thought about

what Zion had said. His gaze paused on Dustin.

"Him?" he asked cautiously. His nerves were on edge.

Zion nodded and smiled.

Anson felt like he had just been struck by lightning. He was completely frozen.

This was something that he could not accept.

How could Dustin be the successor of the previous leader of the Martial League?

That meant that he was to be the next leader of the Martial League...

After all, he had made an enemy of Dustin because of Timothy. All bridges with Dustin had been

burned. Yet Zion was telling him that

Dustin was the leader-to-be that the Martial League had been looking for all this while.

How was he supposed to deal with that? How was he supposed to react?

Anson's emotions were a mess. His expression shifted wildly. He was quiet for a long time.

"Sir, are you alright?" Timothy asked in concern when he saw Anson's uneasy demeanor.

Anson eyed Timothy with a conflicted look on his face.
