Chapter 439 Relationship Confirmed

Dean's breath grew warmer as it neared Sophia's cheek.

Sophia didn't dare to say anything reckless anymore and quickly continued to beg Dean for mercy.

Seeing Dean's expression, she couldn't imagine what extreme actions he might take next.

"It was my mistake to blame you. Dean, please let me go. I won't do it again, I swear."noveldrama

"Why should I believe you?" Dean felt that Sophia still didn't understand the gravity of the situation. In the confined space of the car, he suddenly pulled Sophia into his arms and then swiftly grabbed her neck.

This time, Sophia was almost scared enough to scream.

She never expected that she had provoked such a ruthless person.

She thought she was tough, but she didn't realize that someone could be even tougher.

"Tell me, what's your relationship with her?"

"She's my sister!" Faced with Dean's relentless questioning, Sophia quickly explained. "We have the same father."

Sophia's eyes widened as she repeated herself.

Dean finally caught the key point. "Same father? So, not the same mother?"

Then, a mocking smile crept onto Dean's face. "Half-sister, huh? So your mom is her dad's second wife? Interesting, no wonder you two act like enemies when you meet."

With that, Dean got the answer he was looking for.

He released Sophia but didn't let her out of his embrace.

Under the moonlight, Dean leaned in closer to Sophia, their breaths mingling.

In the quiet, Sophia panted heavily, staring at Dean as he slowly moved closer, their lips

meeting, and a strong scent of perfume enveloped her.

But Sophia was already too stunned to react.

She never expected Dean to kiss her.

Previously, Dean wouldn't even let her touch him.

Why now? Sophia couldn't understand. Her thoughts gradually blurred in that domineering kiss, a feeling of impulsiveness and passivity she had never experienced with Michael.

Sophia gradually succumbed to it and began to enjoy it.

An hour later

Sophia, disheveled and in pain, climbed up from the back seat, seeing Dean smoking outside the car. She smiled, grabbed her clothes, put them on, and slowly opened the car door, leaning against the seat, her eyes dark and unreadable as she looked at Dean. Dean heard the noise, turned his head, and saw Sophia smiling at him. He calmed down, smiled back, and spoke in a slightly hoarse voice.

"Are you satisfied?" he asked.

Sophia was indeed satisfied.

With Michael, she always had to take the initiative, and the experience wasn't as intense.

But this time, Dean had completely taken the lead.

Dean's smile grew wider as he saw Sophia nod.

Then he turned his head away, his expression immediately turning serious and grim. Dean hadn't suddenly fallen in love with Sophia.

He just understood Archibald too well. Dean could see that Archibald's feelings for Emily were far from simple.

Archibald was interested in Emily, and Emily was pregnant.

If Archibald really became Emily's boyfriend, wouldn't the Lancaster family end up raising someone else's child?

That wasn't the worst part. Dean couldn't bear the thought that if Emily had the child and got closer to Archibald, married him, would Archibald treat the child as his own?

He was certain that Archibald would do that.

Then all of Archibald's assets in Everglade City would go to an outsider.

How much would Dean get?

If Emily wasn't a good person and said something to Archibald, Dean wouldn't even get the scraps.

The more he thought about it, the more suffocating it felt, and the more he realized it was unacceptable.

So, Dean decided to act first.

He knew that to get rid of Emily, Sophia was an essential ally.

To do that, he needed to change his strategy, making Sophia willingly become his

woman, stay by his side, and help him deal with Emily.

Only when Emily was gone would Sophia's usefulness end.

Then he and Archibald could return to their old lives.

Thinking about this, Dean took one last drag of his cigarette, then flicked it to the ground, watching the sparks flare up and die out. He smirked and got back into the driver's seat.

By this time, Sophia had moved to the passenger seat.

After a night with Dean, Sophia now had a shy and gentle demeanor.

She batted her eyelashes at Dean. "Where are we going next?"

Dean didn't even look up, just started the car and replied, "Back to the hotel first. Archibald has already rented a studio for us. We'll check it out tomorrow." Another piece of good news.

Sophia immediately forgot about Emily. "That's great! We can finally start our own business in Emerald City!"

What Sophia really wanted to say was that she could finally officially challenge Michael and Emily.

It hadn't been easy to get to this point, and Sophia couldn't help but raise her arms in excitement, cheering as the car engine roared, disappearing into the empty street. The next day, Sophia got up early.

She changed into a black professional dress, excitedly twirling in front of Dean, then pulled him up from the couch, nudging his nose like many couples do, and asked, "Do I look good?"

Dean was still half-asleep. He groggily opened his eyes and mumbled, "You look good."

Sophia wasn't satisfied. After last night's intimate encounter, she now considered herself Dean's official girlfriend.

In a fit of petulance, Sophia pouted and said, "You haven't even looked. What are you talking about? Hurry up! Take a look, take a look! I'm wearing this to our studio today, okay? Okay?"

Just as she was fussing, the doorbell rang.

Sophia thought it was the breakfast she ordered and opened the door without asking.

But to her surprise, the face that greeted her was both familiar and strange, filled with doubt, surprise, disdain, and helplessness.
