"Control?"

Michael couldn't believe it. Archibald looked so frail and proper, but his words were sharp and full of thorns, attacking with every sentence.

With that, Archibald had nothing more to say. He looked at Michael's bewildered expression and smiled even more, then said to Emily, "Alright, let's go out to eat."

"What do you want? I'll make a reservation," Emily said.

Michael was furious.

He snapped at Emily, "Hey, is this how you take care of me? Leaving me here while you go out to eat?"

Emily nodded seriously. "What's the problem?"

Michael sneered. "When I took care of you, I never left you alone in the hospital to go out and eat!"

Emily immediately retorted, "That was your choice. Besides, when I was hospitalized, no one came to see you except Andrew. Now I have a friend visiting, and I want to go out to eat with him. What's the problem?"

Emily's argument was logical and hard to refute. Frustrated, Michael remembered Andrew's words and pointed at Archibald accusingly.

"Emily, open your eyes! Is he really your friend? How long have you known him? Do you really know him?

"You're trusting him based on superficial appearances. Do you know who he really is? Do you know the people around him?"

"They gave in to your persistence, and now that I'm about to be discharged, you won't let me go, claiming you need me because you neglected your own injuries while taking care of me!"
